If we get the kid from USC (OLB) at least one of the ILB’s from OSU or VT and a nice grouping of OL and a pick of maybe 2-3 DL. We would have filled our needs.
Think about it minus the $, Bama just went to the playoffs with a busted OL, average DL, and a hurt QB. Theres alot of potential here.

There is a combination of things IMO:
Grubb doesn’t quite have the players to execute his offense. This causes weird play calling because we don’t do what the play was designed to do or he doesn’t think we can do it with personnel.
Grubb needs to be more willing to conform to what we have instead of what he wished we had.

We basically had half a team who were coached under a different philosophy. Albeit Saban, but still, at the end of the day he has to build this thing himself with his own troops. The sooner everyone accepts it, the better off we will be.

Yeah I agree. I didn’t list him because it’s not a position coach but I wouldn’t be upset if we tried something new there.

I posted this in another thread, but this is actually the year where Coach can purge the rest of the players that he doesn’t want i.e. the Saban kids that didn’t pan out.

Now that coach can truly empty the roster and rebuild I’ll bet we see a decent exodus because they will simply have a chat with every single player about the future.
Huge recruiting class coming in, need to mercenary OL and DL, new coach for each. OC we will see. QB battle, TE battle, Mercenary ILB, Secondary should be good.
If we simply go off of the spots to fill with championship level players it’s probably this
3 OL
1 TE maybe 2
2-3 DL
2 ILB
QB (obviously we have good players here it’s just a new spot to fill)

I expected us to lose roughly 25-30 players. This is about on par with college football.
