That’s probably a good plan. I’m playing it by ear, if the storm is passed and the shear winds are gone we can fly in but that’s a complete game time decision. Not risking anything in the air.

The 4am update moved it about 40 miles back to the west. From what I can tell it’s going to curl to the west some about the time it hits. A few weather guys are thinking the same. Don’t think that distance matters much though.

10 am report yesterday

Another update in about 45 mins. Let’s see if they time track back in northern Alabama. Storm will be greatly weakened but still kicking off in 40 mph wind is not great haha.

The problem is a 2:30 game is 4 hours, so you now have the Storm reaching Tuscaloosa about the time it’s ending with 100K + people in there.

Honestly as bad as it sucks 11am makes sense, get out by 2:30, everyone gets gone. Anyone traveling south just can’t do it. Have to stay in Tuscaloosa until Sunday.

Or simply move the game not simply but you know what I mean. If anyone dies because of this game either to or from it would have been completely avoidable and no sense in it.

The last update said the storm would be west of Tuscaloosa at 1PM. I’m thinking that would be one hell of a halftime show.

Yeah I said that in the other thread. It’s predicting 1PM now on Tuesday but if it slows just 3-4 mph you have 4-6 inches of rain and hurricane like winds. Not ideal for traveling or for playing football.

Yeah it’s really hard to say right now. If it dumps a ton of rain on the field you could play but a slop fest. If it slows down you have hurricane like rain and high winds. Not ideal.

NOAA updates every 6 hours. I’m watching tomorrow closely, if it’s close to making landfall Friday night like predicted and not anymore west I’d say it’s a toss up.

Another thing, a lot less people will travel to this game. You would need to leave Thursday at the latest and clear out late Sunday from all the remaining bands but what would the roads and areas traveling home possibly be like? Lots of questions.

Latest model puts this thing right next to Tuscaloosa at 1PM Saturday. I’m not sure we are even playing this game unless it keeps moving west. Or far east.

They aren’t even trying to hide it. They have to make good on that ND being in the field deal they made. BYU is the way to do it. Unless they lose and then BYU will be the second coming of Christ and ND will claim but we only lose once. Just watch.

Watching this closely. Have to fly up the day of so want to make sure that’s safe and possible.
