So,
1) Son picks out gun at gun shop with Daddy.
2) Son posts pictures that day holding the gun saying that it is his.
3) Mom post picture of gun and says it is the son's.
None of that is "evidence" to you? Do you know the definition of evidence? What would you consider as evidence?

quote:It is definitely evidence that they knew he could have a gun and should immediately ensure he doesn't have it with him and that it is safely back home and locked away.
ETA2: Also, just to be clear: It wasn't a crime in that state for their son to own that gun or for them to buy it for him. Even if they actually did buy it for him, that means nothing

No, it isn't. Owning a gun is not reason to assume you would take it to school with you.

It's unfortunate that a psycho DA has turned these parents into fugitives.

They were caught hiding in a basement in Detroit. F these psycho raising gun nut idiots.

It's unfortunate they felt they needed to hide for being charged with a crime they didn't commit.

It is definitely evidence that they knew he could have a gun and should immediately ensure he doesn't have it with him and that it is safely back home and locked away.
And if you're going to charge the parents for not predicting the future, how does one **not** charge the school leaders with the same crime?

They bought the weapon for him as a Christmas present…. And you dont understand the charges?

Well since it’s illegal for a 15 year old to own a handgun, yes, it’s all evidence of the parents guilt.
Also, if I feed my 15 year old a bunch of alcohol and get him/her drunk, and then they take off in my car and kill some folks, yes, I’m guilty too. It’s common fricking sense.

They bought a 15 year old a handgun. I’m not sure of Michigan law, but in most states it’s illegal for a minor to own a handgun.
The mom posted pictures on Facebook saying they bought it for him.

Why not charge the parents of every gang banger caught with a weapon? The jails would be packed if this became an accpeted policy.
Came here to post this. Of course they won’t the prison would be overflowing with blacks more than it already is.

Since you apparently ride the short bus I’ll make one more attempt, and I’ll explain it to you like you’re 12.
1. It’s stupid and naive to assume no political considerations are impacting this case.
2. I know that the DA is wrong and she’s only doing this for political reasons.
Those are 2 different statements that mean 2 different things. I've made point number 1 a few different times now. You and at least one other mensa candidate are pretending that I am making the claim spelled out in point number 2. I don’t know if it’s because you’re retarded or dishonest. I suspect it’s a little of both.

he admits that or it can be proven, then yes, criminal charges may be in order.
The mom knew he had been buying ammo online in the days prior and just told him “don’t get caught next time.” If your kid has been killed, you’d probably want the parents to be held accountable as well.

This is no accident. “They” want as many people in prison as possibly. For-profit prisons benefit from our population being incarcerated.

I am a high school teacher and there is no way that kid gets to spend the rest of the day freely wondering the halls of the school I teach at.
