Assuming no Republicans vote for impeachment, they would need 19 Democrats to vote “No” to kill this thing.

I admit it’s a long shot, but I keep remembering the electoral votes Hillary lost when they actually voted.

What are the chances there are enough sane Democrats out there who just want this thing over and will stand up to Nancy? Maybe they vote “No” to avoid the optics.

Depends on whether these individuals would rather take on their party or their electorate.

It would have to be purple or red districts where impeachment is polling horribly.

The party can make it hard for you to win by primarying you or screwing you on assignments.

The electorate, if they feel strongly enough, can keep you from going back.

No way in hell 19 Dems jump ship. They would be committing political suicide. That’s where we are in our country. Doing the right thing takes a backseat to toeing the party line

Some might be doing this by voting for impeachment as well.

It is going to be hard for some of those Dem reps, especially the ones from districts that Trump carried in 2016. How many of those are there? I think Nancy will get the votes she needs, but it may not be unanimous on the Dem side.

Nancy’s going to get just enough of them in iffy districts to vote her way. The rest of them can vote against if they choose.

I'm sure Nancy whipped the vote in her favor. There will be a majority of democrats voting for impeachment.

This same Speaker forced through a health insurance bill that cost 63 Reps, 6 Sens, and 6 Govs their jobs in a move that essentially crippled the final 6 years of the Obama presidency.

The moderates will be told to vote themselves out for the greater good. Even if it costs them the House in 2020 (not likely) it will cement their support from the progressive wing and their massive donors. They have to protect the golden goose.

I think I saw some report that said there was going to be like 6 golden tickets for people to be approved to vote no. I assume 6 are being given since polling in those districts show these are the most vulnerable seats.

We will see.

Democrats flipping and voting no would be the smartest thing they could do in the long run. Yes, there would be some blowback from current Democrat house members but when election time came they would have a credible platform to stand on and drastically improve their chances for reelection. Doubtful any of them have the heart or balls to ride it out to completion though and the strategy only works if enough flip to kill the impeachment in the house. Any flips with continued impeachment proceeding makes the no vote look calculated.

She wouldn't be going through with this if she didn't already have the votes. That being said, red district Dems are screwed either way.

If impeachment goes forward with zero R votes and some number of Dems (however small) voting against, it will be a disaster for the Dems.

The dems will let 17 or 18 vote against, just to be able to say the voted against and look bipartisan

It will most certainly cost them the House. The American people don't like bullshite impeachments.

See: Clinton, which caused the Republicans to lose the house. And hell at least that impeachment had actual facts presented.

The Counter Coup starts Monday.
Monday will not be nuclear but in totality, the counter coup is devastating.

The DNC/MSM Political Complex MUST have PEACH MINT to counter the Counter Coup!

Nancy whipped her minions, and has the numbers. But there will be deserters.

Prediction, Nancy loses House, GOP gains in Senate, Trump re-elected in a landslide, Trump replaces dead RBG, retirees Breyer and Thomas with conservatives. 6 conservatives, 2 liberals, and Roberts in SCOTUS.

Resistance-revolution pusshat and wannabe ninjas in the streets, sanctuary cities and states defunded, another round of tax cuts with another lowering of state tax deductions. USMC passed, a pro American Chinese trade deal!

It’s going to be GLORIOUS!
