Chaffetz questions whether Comey memos are 'actually there'

According to a memo whose existence and content was first reported on by The New York Times on Tuesday and later confirmed to ABC by sources close to Comey, the former FBI director was asked in March by President Trump to drop the bureau's investigation into former national security adviser Michael Flynn. Trump fired Comey as director last week.

I agree with him that the special counsel is not warranted at this time based on the evidence released, but unfortunately it seems to be necessary if for no other reason than to stop the madness of the left.

Chaffetz wants Comey to publicly testify concerning the subject he discussed with the New York Times. I think most people want this actually. Chaffetz is concerned that existence of a special counsel/special investigation is going to prevent Comey from public testimony. Not sure Chaffetz completely trusts Mueller's independence with respect to the Comey part of this investigation.

The memo in question has been hinted at being electronic, meaning there would be metadata telling us to the minute when he wrote his memo, which would make it extremely compelling evidence.

It's only warranted if they don't trust McCabe (they shouldn't) and they don't have a ton of confidence in the short list of Comey replacements to be viewed as even handed.
The catch 22 is, they need a fixer running the FBI right now. A fixer is almost never seen as objective. That being said, liberals will burn everything the frick down no matter what if they don't get their way.

b) burning all of his diary that pertains to HRC and Obama?
c) had no diary entries of HRC or Obama because he is so tied to them?
d) this is not Comey leaking to the NYTimes; and or his 'associates' that did this-- or they did so w/o his knowledge?
e) he is busy on a vacation?
f) he is making the stock market and world wait because he is a showboat POS; and wants payback because he was fired as he was talking about how great he was?
g) he is with Obama on an island near pedo island para sailing?
h) he is forming a peegate dossiere to impeach a sitting President and can't be bothered to answer?
