Right. Even if the other group shows up they are no where as large as their base was. It’s such a stupid move - “let’s target a group representing 3% of the population to the exclusion of 60% of the population”. They don’t seek a middle ground they rush to the fringe.
spot on.

We have one that's half a mile as the crow flies from our house and stopped eating there when the grilled chicken tenderloins my wife always ordered consistently tasted like burn, uncleaned griddle top.
Killing the garlic butter hamburger steak was the nail in the coffin, for me.

Two sides of the same coin with these people
How dare you? I bet you think Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC woke abomination of 1991 was also just a benign corporate branding change, don't you?

I can't imagine living a life where I give the slightest frick about a Cracker Barrel rebranding.

That's the core tenet of the leftist, DEI religion.
They screech incoherently from the rafters about "representation" but fail to acknowledge that if TV, movies, commercials, etc. looked like America, where 65% of everyone you see is white, they'd have an aneurysm.
Only 1 in 20 would be any flavor of Alphabet people, and only 1 in 500 would be trans.

Remind me. Their new logo is somehow “woke”? Snowflakes…

They have admitted changing their food over the last 4 or 5 years, about the time they brought on the DEI/Inclusive types

It doesn't shock me that you don't see the difference between what you say are equivalent examples.

Revenues are unchanged from a year ago, not down. This is a stock market problem not a business problem. Without impossible infinite growth the stock won't go up so there's no reason to hold it anymore hence the 40% decline in stock price. Your publicly-traded company could make the same billion a year and be doing great but without non-stop growth every quarter the stock price will fall. Wall Street is broken.
Absolutely correct. There is little to no interest in ownership of a company for the long-term anymore. Turning a profit to return that profit to long-term investors is no longer a thing. It’s all about short term flipping of shares to turn a quick profit. The businesses aren’t really the source of profit anymore, it’s the stock. Almost like trading baseball cards was back in their day.

They're losing their customer base regardless.
Maybe. And maybe that's due to a variety of factors that haven't got jack shite to do with rainbow rockers, making the logo graphic design 101 generic and shitcanning your menu for cheap shite you could get at any garbage roadside steakhouse. And I doubt shifting from rustic to Joanna Gaines is going to suddenly draw in this mystical younger crowd, either.
Cracker Barrel still has a consumer base, they just need to focus on service and food quality. Sadly, most stock driven businesses will never do anything but cut costs wherever they can, which means crappier food, crappier help and declining sales... because it's no longer about the product, it's just about making that number go up a tenth of a penny for the gamblers. And like most businesses these days, that got them bought by a giant corporate holding house that employs highly educated dipshits who hope a coat of paint, any new logo and a lot of virtue signaling will trigger 'investment'. Either way, the vermin will get their payout, the moron CEO will go on to drive the next boat into the reef and another decent business will become a memory.

I’m still wondering how remodeling can be “woke”

I don't see anything "woke" about this refresh but people remember rainbow chairs on the front porch and that naturally makes them suspicious.
yeah, nothing to see here, the board being all dei/inclusing as well as the CEO,.......who have all come out supporting BLM/ LBQGT, and keep pushing inclusion/diversity.....removing all the items in the stores that gave it its southern charm feeling/look in favor of gay surroundings...sure...nothing to see here. I don't know your politics, but likely liberal. If not, then you just haven't researched this, at all.

What? The Colonel? He's a legend!
I'm not opposed to Cracker Barrel spinning up the cracker grandpa into a hip/homey character if they want. Bonus point if there is a special blend of herbs and spices.

Because woke is a meaningless term when used in this context and basically boils down to any thing that makes dumb arse republicans uncomfortable for any reason.

The stock price was $40 a year ago. It is around $50 now although it was $71 earlier this summer before this mess.
