CEO blasts San Francisco as city of chaos, closes store over crime: Our team is terrified

Way to go, Democrats

The CEO of a popular clothing brand Cotopaxi is closing the company's only San Francisco store due to "organized theft rings" and a lack of safety in the city, he announced this wee
CEO Davis Smith announced the closure in a lengthy post on social media, saying the location faces regular attacks by thieves with virtually no response from law enforcement.
"We are closing the store due to rampant organized theft and lack of safety for our team. Our store is hit by organized theft rings several times per week. They brazenly enter the store and grab thousands of dollars of product and walk out," Smith wrote.
"We started keeping the door locked and opening it only for customers, but even then, they’ll have a woman go to the door, and then hiding individuals rush into the store as soon as the door opens. Our team is terrified. They feel unsafe. Security guards don’t help because these theft rings know that security guards won’t/can’t stop them," he added.

Lots of stores in Utah and the PNW, even still have a store in Portland. Two in Denver metro: one in Cherry Creek ($$$) and one about to open on Pearl St in Boulder (not as expensive a neighborhood, but lots of foot traffic and retirees' money.)
Didn't think I'd see it here, but yesterday at Lakeside Mall in Metairie, I walked by the Steve Madden store and noticed that the door was open, but there was a barrier inside of the door manned by an employee. That person had to open the barrier and physically allow in each person, then close the barrier again.
Employee basically guarded the entrance.

Why can’t the business just get insurance?
Problem solved.
Imma head back to throwing soup on priceless art now.

Ye cats! Rhe part of San Francisco that Cotopaxi is located is by no means a ghetto.
How did we get to this point? It seems as if all America collectively lost its mind after the infamous COVID shutdowns of 2020, and has yet to refind it.

I missed that in the article.
Are you saying that organized theft only occurs in the ghetto? Surely, you're not saying that. That's like saying, "No, wait. They don't rob banks. There is money there."
What am I missing?

They'll still continue to vote for the same shite that caused this.
My casual apologies for feeling no sympathy. I'd be just fine watching the criminal scum raze thes cities to the ground while the wholly emasculated LEOs watch it all burn.
