There was a massive cyber attack yesterday of one of the top 5 health technology companies. I have heard ATT, Verizon, and T-maybe were hit as well.

Which company was that?

My insurance agent knows folks over 60 that have flip phones and carry them for emergency only and use landlines.

That would be me.
If you need to talk to me, you can call my house. If I don't answer, you can leave a message, but I probably won't call you back.

Patriot Mobile here in the ATL area. It never missed a beat. It uses Verizon and T-Mobile networks.

good for you. I would rather talk to you over some coffee and red beans and rice then watch people double thumbing their phones to see what Susie said or ate or bought----on Facebook.

I know people that post bible quotes and if you went by their facebook page you would think they are so happy they can't think straight.

These people IRL are FAF (fake as frick) and don't visit their own gramma's but post as if they are bible saints.

Cell service down

Central Oklahoma.

Posting this from cell phone, T-Mobile provider. No issues. Also, just sent a message from work cell, AT&T. No issue there either.

But I understand how this can be viewed as a "what is really happening?" type of thing. Especially with technology as advanced as it is, major national outages just shouldn't occur.

Based on what I’m seeing, I think a lot of this may be tied to the more advanced tech (5G, etc) being messed up.

My wife’s phone isn’t working right and it is new.

My phone is fine and it is an older generation smart phones.

I have family on shite flip phones who are able to use them.

Keep your powder dry!

Not a bad idea to store a couple month’s word of rations and drinking water too.

I'm in Indiana right now, and my phone is fine. However, I was at a convenience store this morning getting coffee, and a guy stopped me and told me his phone was out and he needed directions. I pulled out my phone and looked it up. I use Google Fi (T-Mobile network), but I don't know what service he has.

Anyway, I gave him directions the old fashioned way...

I almost never use a cell phone, so I don't know about that.

Me too, I don't have one. I like it that way.

I use my wife's for navigation on long road trips - that's it.

Gotta wonder if this is a test run before some sort of terrorist attack?

Are there any other issues, other than cell phone inconvenience? Is the cell phone outage causing catastrophic issues - are there any critical infrastructure systems that rely on cell phone coverage?

They said China had a big operation planned. This is either them or made to look like them to get more money for Ukraine.
