How dare these treasonous bastards support their Commander in Chief! They must ALL receive dishonorable discharges and be sent to the gulags at once!
How mother fricking pathetic can "journalism" get?

U.S. servicemembers who attended a Memorial Day address during President Trump's overseas trip to Japan who were photographed wearing patches on their jumpsuits bearing a motto resembling his campaign slogan may have violated the Pentagon's strict rules barring soldiers from showing political preferences.
quote:
The group of servicemembers aboard the USS Wasp in Yokosuka, Japan were photographed by Wall Street Journal reporter Vivian Salama. The airmen posing for the photo all donned matching patches that depicted an image of what appears to be the president, along with the text: "Make Aircrew Great Again." Wire photographers also captured images of the same military members.
quote:
"All military personnel will avoid the inference that their political activities imply or appear to imply DoD sponsorship, approval or endorsement of a political candidate, campaign or cause," the policy states. Examples of political activities that are prohibited include actively campaigning for a candidate, soliciting contributions, marching in a partisan parade or wearing uniforms to a partisan event. Certain political activities are allowed and encouraged -- like voting in an election and making personal campaign donations.

Well, it looks like they likely violated the policy. It's still pretty funny, though

Journalism is dead and I don't think it's coming back.
The weird thing is the liberal media seems quite proud of that

Is it wrong, sure. Morale patches aren't anything new.
Looking at the twitter thread linked in the article, the barracks lawyers are all coming out of the woodwork.
One comment: "MuH GrAnDfatHEr wUz oN dUH WaSp". Your grandfather would probably slap the shite out of your weak, soy drinking arse. Stop riding on your dead relatives coat tails for your outrage.

The fact that this happened on a boat called the WASP is just extra vanilla icing on the cake

Not to be too... picky or whatever, but are these guys actually "Airmen?"
Are they called that in the Navy? I thought Airman was a term like "Soldier" for the Army, Sailor for the Navy, Marine for...you know, and Airman for the Air Force.
