Have you ever run a business? Ever done payroll? Just trying to get a sense of your qualifications here.

JFC dude get off your high horse. You’re not special just because your parents own a business.

Actually my company did an across the board $2 an hour raise and then terminated 2000 mid level managers making $75k-$90k a year.
Tactical cull of people that the company was unconvinced by. This is also why working for mega-corporations isn't always the greatest thing. You can become a number to those people.

It’s weird to see a board that pretends to care about blue collar workers do everything they can to protect the profits of the owners. You’d think this board would advocate for blue collar workers making more money.

Nope.
Small business owners put millions of people out of work every year. Without the minimum wage going up a penny in over a decade.

What’s crazy is 99% of the people I know and talk to realize this. I think it’s even taught in ECON class. So how are these libs allowed to push the narrative without question.

Sounds like more jobs getting sent overseas to me also.

Ahh so you want one or two mega corporations in each industry. No competition from the little guy. Just Walmart and Amazon for all.
You think that the $15 is in a vacuum? Prices of all goods, services, and housing will also rise, putting those newly lifted poor...right back below the brand new poverty line.
And you talk about hurt feelings. So you claim to care about the working man, but only the bottom level working man. No the ones who improved themselves above entry level. They should just be happy with a decade worth of hard work resulting in the new no skilled employee making the same wage. So everybody should be on the bottom tier.

If this was a surprise to anyone they never took of comprehended econ 101.
I’m curious as to the actual number of workers earning less than or right at the $15 mark. I’ve seen it reported as high as 40% of the workforce. I doubt it’s that high, but I do wonder.

They already do! And real wages DON’T. So people are expected to buy things at higher prices with the same buying power they had in the sixties.

You can’t be as dumb as this makes you seem. Sure I want everyone to make a million dollars a year but guess what, Stonehog? I live in the real fricking world where the economic principals of basic supply and demand are a real thing that don’t give a shite about your feel good politics. It’s not about protecting profits of owners. You really should pick up an economics book and educate yourself.

real wages
What is a "real wage"? Minimum wage? Because that has doubled since i was getting paid minimum wage and it wasn't the 60s.
And are you really trying to say that wages have been stagnant for 60 years? You do also realize that what was considered a good living and solid existence in the 60s would be considered poverty by modern standards. 1 car, no cable tv, no internet, very few cloths, etc. We have become a greedy consumer society and we always want more.
You could probably have a 60's lifestyle on minimum wage today, bu8t you wouldn't like it.

Those lower level people should just learn how to make solar panels right?
