CBO just released its new $15 min wage analysis—adds $58B to the deficit, kills 1.4M jobs. Have to look at how they reach these numbers, but it's a bad blow for the Raise the Wage Act. Progressive economists likely screaming into their laptops right now.

No way senate parliamentarian will allow it in the reconciliation bill.

Bernie Sanders said the CBO was going to show huge *savings* from the min wage. His hopes have been dashed

Those jobs lost are low end jobs that are filled by lower class citizens. Basically, spiking the min wage only does the opposite of what they want it to do.

It doesn’t take a phd in economics to know that a 50% raise for all minimum wage workers (with the same work output) means big problems.

So, based on past CBO history it will be double or triple these numbers...

FYI: The CBO's number are NEVER correct. If they are this bad now, that means they'll be even worse if implemented.

Think about what that means as it pertains to entitlement deficits and interest expenses

The dims don't care, because that adds 1.4 million people to their government dole they want everyone on.

If the CBO is saying that it likely is far worse. They are complete hacks

They should learn to code so they can program the robots that will be taking their jobs.

That's because they're required by law to use the numbers the dims give them, not what actually might happen. It's a total scam.

People really need to realize this. We’re speaking different languages. Half of the country sees damage to the economy as a good thing. Government welfare programs are better than a strong workforce because the workforce has been deemed racist, classist, and all the other -ists.
