This seems to happen pretty frequently. They'll shut it down for a couple weeks and then come to some resolution.

Agreed, I think they've passed up the Fast and Furious franchise with repeats.

Kay Bailey Cornyn with the fear mongering. Loved Trump right up to the day after the election. Swamp creature!

A mostly peaceful match, though.

I put my life on it, that the House, led by Republicans give into the Democrat led Senate. Shut the whole fricking government down.

Oh how I despise that white guilt boomer Cornyn. Glad he got called out. Unfortunately he's probably in the top 3 list to replace McConnell.

I hope TX is prepping someone to replace that POS in '26

And everyone gets paid in the end. Even if they didn't work during the shutdown.

This is the same game they use every time. We are the ones that should shut it down.

This can’t be overstated. When you look at Cornyn, you need to see Mitch McConnell

This
Cornyn is just a dumber version of the Turtle who is not freezing up. A huge RINO who is probably in line to replace Mitch. And he is more than willing to help the gun-grabbing Dems. Texas should replace him next election.

Everytime there's a shutdown, the poor govmint 'workers' get more pay than they would have otherwise in addition to not having to go to work. Literally another paid vacation.

They will shut down some things that actually provide some measure of return on the taxpayer’s dollar — such as the public restrooms on the National Mall.

The gears of the Imperial War machine will keep churning unabated however.

It is well orchestrated Kubuki Theatre.
