Of course Catholicism in general is pagan and non Christian.

So Jesus established a pagan church and these other made up branches are correct? I especially love the one ( and its offspring)that was created so that a slovenly king could divorce.

He hasn't preached anything different than I would expect the Catholic Church to preach.

Of course not. He is just a man, no different than anyone else.

None whatsoever.

I like the fact that he preaches less orthodoxy, more humility, and treating the poor, sick weak, children and even gays and athiests with human dignity being more important that dogma.

I am not on board with his socialist economic tendencies.

I think that's a product of his South American origins where they've gotten the short end of capitalism due to unchecked cronyism and government corruption.

By any chance, do you suffer from that rare disease where you're always on your period?

Catholicism is a bastardization of the church that Jesus established. It's been corrupted from nearly inception by false prophets and pagan teachings. It's a religion for the lazy.

Lazy is strolling into church on Sunday and claiming you're saved so everything is all good.

Catholics Only

Is this a Going to Heaven thread?

Personally, I love the guy. Good heart, lives the talk, genuinely concerned about the less fortunate.

Like a lot of socialists, he thinks government should be run like a charity. That's just not economically sustainable.

To set the record straight:

The Pope is considered infallible on matters of faith. And the church has only decreed the Pope infallible on two issues in the history of the Catholic Church.

I'm catholic. I've been asked several times about him.

My answer to them and you is this : one should worship God not a man no matter who that man may be. He is not God. Men are fallible.

I disagree with him much. I believe him to be too political. I believe that he was selected for his progressive agenda. The church will be there still after he is gone. I believe the pendulum will swing away from his influence.

Yea telling some priest all your sins and chanting some repetitive nonsense makes you all good. Then you get to go out and do it all again and rinse-repeat.

Among the many things I find ridiculous in Catholicism is Hail Mary and purgatory.

Mary is dead and purgatory is imaginary.
