Holy taken way out of context. John is telling the story of Jesus' interaction with Nicodemus in the Temple. When Nicodemus challenges Jesus about the Holy Spirit.
How is that taken out of context?

Having been to Rome 3xs, for any Pope to preach distribution of wealth is rediculous. There are literally churches almost every mile with solid gold ceilings. In my opinion he is the biggest hypocrite that I can remember.

John 3:13 is the one scripture I think of in that matter but the Bible makes it quite clear that no one is in heaven. They sleep in death at Abrahams side until the ressurection and the day of judgment. No mortal can enter the gates of heaven until the have been judged.
See John 5:25 on for reference.

Well for starters the verse refers to Jesus' ascension into Heaven. Others are assumed (by God) into Heaven.

I'm Catholic and I wonder from time to time how much different early Christianity / Jesus' vision of the Church was compared to what it's actually become. Do you think Jesus likes the current state of Christianity in 2017...especially in the western world?
The New Testament is filled with Paul's words but many scholars believe that Paul and James (Jesus' brother) did not see eye to eye on many things and for some reason, early church leaders dismissed James' writings and decided to keep Paul's.
I've always been interested in the early, early days of the church...like 35-90 AD.

I'm pretty sure the state of Christianity appalled him.

John 3:13 says Jesus (son of man)!is the only one who has acended to heaven. No one else can enter until being judged. The Bible makes no mention of "saints" being exempt. Whatever your definition of saints may be.

Good luck with whatever you feel you're being led to do. Your knowledge and grasp of the subject(s) literally jumps off the page.
I'm glad I started this thread. With one or two exceptions, the usual trolls have stayed out of it. I'm going to bookmark this thread, because between some of your links and a few terms from others that are new to me (Curia?), I look forward to researching it all when I get the chance.
Like I said, I'm Protestant, but we serve the same God and read the same Bible. I'm excited to have the chance to look into this further when I get the time.

Elaborate. Where can I go meet him? He's dead. Dead like my grandfather. He was just a lot more important than my grandfather but just as dead.

Are you being naturally obtuse? As a believer you know the answer to this.

Peters dead bro. Show me something that says other wise. Seriously, show me one scripture in the Bible that says otherwise.
ETA: Maybe you missed my early posts about no one but God and the angles being in heaven. Read those so I don't have to type my view again and then come back and we can discuss.
