The point is you go by the original (earliest) text.

Translate that

The pope's opinion of what God may or may not do is irrelevant.
Um, ANY AND ALL translations for ALL OF TIME were human interpretation of how to translate into a NEW language what was said in the original.
And despite what many apparently think, languages don't have word for word corollaries.

It isn't up for debate, because the text is the inspired word of God. It says what is says, not what the Pope or I think it says based on our thoughts on what God wouldn't or would do.
So God inspired the archbishop of Canterbury in 1611, and then retired from inspiring his followers for all of eternity?
Does this mean that the archbishop of Canterbury should have left the bible in it's Ancient Greek?
Should the first century scribe that translated the Ancient Aramaic into Ancient Greek have left the original translation as follows:
"but let us be freed from that what keeps us off from our true purpose."

The change seems very reasonable to me.

I’m on board with the change. It makes much more sense than the Protestant version.

The Pope changed the original Greek New Testament context? Because anything written in English was subject to a person providing a translation.

The Lord speaks English to me every day brother
But I’m Baptist, the one true faith. Jesus was a Baptist because John the Baptist baptized him

Yes, Paul was an apostle, not one of the 12 disciples. My mistake, i thought he also recited the Lord's prayer in the bible. It was just Luke and Mathew. Each prayer slightly different.
Actually, Luke was a disciple of Paul. He was a Historian and wrote the Gospel of Luke and the Acts of the Apostles based on first hand accounts from Paul and the 12 Disciples of Christ.
(Mark was a follower of Peter, BTW).
Welcome to the Faith.

The Pope changed the original Greek New Testament context?
Yes he did
Because he didn't like it that Christ said that we might be led into temptation in his prayer (much like Jesus was led into temptation, when confronted by Satan). So yeah, the so called pope is changing both the meaning from the Greek, and the actual history associated with that passage
Frick him

Wrong

So you are arguing that God willingly tempts us into doing evil things?
Explain Eve and the tree placed there by God?
Explain Abraham and being tempted to burn Isaac?
Explain Job's entire life?
Explain Jesus being confronted by Satan, a lesser creation of God?
Yes, God puts things in your path. How you choose, is how you are judged. We once were allowed to pray not to put things in our path. The pope says not anymore

I can tell you've never had to translate anything from an ancient language to a modern language before. As someone who took several years of college level Latin, I can tell you that the only way to successfully translate texts more complicated than "Gaius kicks the ball" is to understand the context of the text. Whether you agree with the Pope or not, there's a high degree of analysis required to translate this text. Right or wrong, opinion is absolutely a factor.

and just having tempting shite out there in the world to see how you do with your free will.
Everything around you was put there by the creator. The prayer was asking him not to lead you into things that you might even know that you could be tempted by
For example, the very first alcoholic in history. Woulda helped had he never been exposed to the fruit of the vine, Because it being available to him, possibly ruined his life and afterlife. The pope just denied that situation ever occurred
