While I disagree with Carville on just about everything, at least he’s not insane like today’s progressives.
He's fricking insane. He is pushing the same, tired narrative that Hillary pushed, that Jill Stein is a Russian agent.

But it is harder to teach peoole financial education when they dont have any money.

That's interesting, because not having money, is exactly what motivated me to work hard to earn money. After I worked hard to earn it, I didn't want to waste it, and it somehow started accumulating. Magic I guess.

Yet the Reverse Mortgage scam the banks are perpetrating now is hitting the black community the hardest.

To create wealth requires excess money, to be able to invest, etc.

That can depend on where the line is for "excess". Two people, each making $45k a year with no dependents. One lives alone, smokes a pack a day and eats out often (even if it's just McD's) while the other shares an apartment with 2 other people, doesn't smoke, rarely drinks and buys groceries to stretch their Dollar. One is living paycheck-to-paycheck while the other is able to work on creating wealth (whether that's buying stocks, buying a home, opening their own business, whatever).

The problem with just throwing money at the poor is that many don't know how to responsibly manage it thus instead of a one-time cost, keeping them out of poverty becomes a continuing expense.

Wealth starts at the next nickel. Everyone has a nickel. Effort, self control and patience are financial wealth builders. Don't buy something you can't afford. Stay out of debt. Just think of the amount of interest you pay to someone else in a lifetime that you could keep for yourself. Learn what the term "make do" means. Compound interest is your best friend. Find a copy of the book "The Wealthy Barber" and read it. It is funny and teaches you about how to grow your money in easy to understand ways. That's it. You are all welcome.

I didn't say wealth couldn't be passed on. I said it was reductive to pretend it had to necessarily include a future generation.
