Well, one drone or explosive against border patrol or military should just about do it for them. I think the believe this is like a video game and we’re just playing with them. Wait until they find out just how real it is.

The first time the cartels hide behind civilians and our forces so much as cause a bruise on a little brown baby, liberal white women will lose their minds. Nevermind the abhorrent violence the cartels have wrought in Mexico and our streets. Nevermind all the lives wrecked and lost to fentanyl and other narcotics the cartels import. Forget about all the women and children trafficked into sexual servitude by these animals.

I assume we know the location of cartel compounds. These are not people that hide and actually flaunt their wealth. They bribe/threaten the local police and military.
Pretty sure putting a few smart bombs and leveling their operations would suffice.

Mexican govt is owned by the cartels. War with cartels is war with Mexico. Why? Because government officials know if they side with us, cartels murder them and their families. US military won’t brutally murder families of Mexican govt.
Mexico will put up token resistance on the side of the cartels and pray we wipe the cartels out and then work out a peace deal with the U.S.

We should use the measures taken against the cartels by our military as training exercises. Drone these motherfrickers to death. Overwhelm them with our newest and best technological weapons. It wouldn’t last but a few days at most and you don’t risk any soldiers getting hurt. Then, tell the Mexican government they are next if they don’t crackdown on the cartels themselves.
