He was on Beck this morning discussing it. Said there was a ton of lobbying from organizations like MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving)... Millions of women won't be able to drive more than 5-10 miles at a time if this occurs.

Well that means traffic should be lighter after 2026.

So if your passenger has been drinking the air in the car will detect it and shut off your engine. This would kill Uber and Lyft.

Nah, your Uber driver will show up in a pickemup truck and say “get in the bed”.

I miss my childhood in the 70s and teen years in the 80s. That country is gone.

How will a car know who in a car has been drinking? The designated driver shares the same air as the drinker!

But momentoftruth said Massie is a sham. Massie is one of the few that actually read bills. But he can't be trusted because he's not MAGA (i.e. lick Trump's balls and tell him how great he is).

Massie's problem is that he supported McCarthy - the primary Republican that pushes all the things Massie claims to be against. McCarthy would ram this through without any hesitation.

So folks going to be driving, swerve out of lane, then the car shuts off to "help" the situation?

Won’t work. Too many people wear sunglasses when driving.

Can’t wait for when someone’s car turns off because they use a bottle of hand sanitizer and the sensor suspects alcohol in the air.

Not sure why you were downvoted for this. You’re absolutely correct.

But don’t take my word for it

Would this not be contestable as a violation of 4th Amendment rights?

I'm sure giving the government control of our cars will be used for our safety. It won't be used to stop people from moving. It won't be used to intentionally cause "undesirables" to die in car crashes.

And then your car won’t pass inspection.

Part of inspection process will be the inspector chugging a beer then trying to drive your car.

To pass inspection it'll probably have to be activated.

Also, this hardware could keep track of how many times it was re-flashed - like how car dealerships can void your warranty for tuning your vehicle even though when they looked the programing was stock.

Ask any car tuner, there's always a trail.

Better odds of getting FSD figured out than this actually happening.
But even then, some baw will refuse to use FSD and still try and drive his F-250 hammered
