Yeah they are born with that predisposition to be psychopaths.. they have less serotonin in their cerebrospinal fluid.. a lot less.. and an identifiable genetic mutation called the “warrior gene” so it was undoubtedly a selectively advantageous trait in a more violent society where survival is predicated on having a couple of sadistic mother frickers in your tribe. Audie Murphy had the trait.. an inability to feel fear makes for a hell of a soldier

The choice between skinny chicks and fat chicks isn't a moral judgment. The moral judgement was made when they decided they were going to stick their dick in whoever was willing.

One of her attorneys is well known for trying to get his clients off on any technicality he can swing. Pretty successful at it at times. They did change a drug just a week before the killing but she is just evil and crazy as hell. She turned down a 40 year plea deal so I think this is on her attorney. Incorrigible!

I have no opinion on this case, but I can tell you that I am 42 now, and I got on SSRIs around the end of the Vid. Wish I had never done it, but VERY hard to get off of

I know people on ssri...none of them have killed anyone like this ...

No. She was. The meds probably didn’t help, but she’s clearly a little sociopath devoid of any potential for morality.
Unless she’s on a spectrum, it’s everyone else’s fault.
Or a mass shooter, it’s the guns fault.

For some people, this world aint never gonna be right.

Almost every school shooter has been on SSRIs at some point.
Well SSRIs are prescribed to people with mental issues, and mental issues seem like a prerequisite for shooting up a school
They are very over prescribed these days, but they do their job well, and sounds like they were doing a great job before the Doctor changes the prescription. They take people that are irrational and mentally unstable and fill their emotions. They are no longer happy or sad. They just exist in a state where they are no longer a threat to themselves or anyone else.
When you hear about these cases when the kid was on an SSRI, I’d bet money it’s a case where they are prescribed it but don’t take it regularly.

"I think asking if SSRIs are contributing is a fair conversation to have"
I agree with this, but one must also address the fact that these drugs are prescribed to help people (teens included) who are troubled to begin with. Was it the chemotherapy drug that killed the patient or was it the cancer? T

40% of female teens today have a mental health diagnosis. Should 40% of female teens be on an SSRI?

Trying to evoke sympathy no doubt.
If that was such a big issue, why didn't they concentrate on that during the trial?

Yeah that's the warning at least.

“40% of female teens today have a mental health diagnosis. Should 40% of female teens be on an SSRI?”
My suspicion is almost certainly not, but this thread began with a discussion a 14 year old murderer. I suppose another question to ask is whether anyone should be on these drugs, and I firmly believe that the answer to this question is yes (given the state of current mental healthcare). Exactly who, how many, and which drugs—this is where it gets really hard bc mental illness is no joke.
