Libs, tell us again how the Federal Government is a model for efficiency and how to conduct business.

The highest-ranking career official at the Treasury Department is departing after a clash with DOGE over access to sensitive payment systems that the US government uses to disburse trillions of dollars every year.
Typically only a small number of career officials control Treasury’s payment systems.
Run by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service, the sensitive systems control the flow of more than $6 trillion annually to households, businesses and more nationwide.
Tens, if not hundreds, of millions of people across the country rely on the systems, which are responsible for distributing Social Security and Medicare benefits, salaries for federal personnel, payments to government contractors and grant recipients and tax refunds, among tens of thousands of other functions.

And this wasn't even about paying or not paying for anything. It was just for information on how it works, etc.
Even that was a bridge too far for these people.

“Wait what you want to see where and how much money we are sending”
“I’ve been doing this job for 25 years only I can see that I don’t care who’s the president”
“You have no right to know where I send money and you are over stepping my powers”
“So what that trillions went missing under my watch”

Doesn't DOGE have the King's Writ?

Don’t leave.
Have a seat. We have much to discuss.

shite will burn if it’s found that they were siphoning funds that should have been given back to the people. You don’t quit a job like that if you have nothing to hide.

Growing up I always was told get a government job because it’s impossible to get fired once you’re in the system
This was for low level jobs you can only imagine what the ego of the top level leaders are

This is why I said you need a mega a-hole in at Treasury. That dept not only distributes money, it has the authority to freeze accounts and to pull money back. DOGE better look long and hard at Treasury. That is where the answers are located.

I wish they would explain why a transparent government is a bad thing.

How do these people rationalize their thinking?
Your "work" is the property of your employer.
In this case taxpayers.
Your employer absolutely should have the ability to see any work product.

Why do I get the scene of Richard Pryor in Superman in my head. Just a partial penny here and there….

It makes you wonder why. Was he worried about something being discovered?

There probably a lot of frickery gong on here.

The elites do not like being questioned.

Same reason they oppose things like Voter ID - the only logical explanation is they want to facilitate criminal activity. In this case, it's widespread money laundering of taxpayer dollars. With Voter ID opposition, it's to enable election fraud.

Just the slightest threat of waterboarding will get him talking to the truth-seekers!!
