Capt. Obvious observation: Pence will have a tougher debate than Trump's 3

To be clear, I think Pence will do just fine. He fared fine against Cain in 2016 and used his calm, unrattled approach to make Cain look like a crazy-eyed wackadoo lib.
But he's got some different challenges with Commala. With Cain, it was two white dudes going after each other. Commala is going to be throwing the Woman of Color card left and right, plus she is a nasty woman. She will be looking to get in a "that little girl [on the bus] was me" moment all night.
Pence will do fine, but he will have to work a little harder to counter Commala's countiness and faux victimization.

Pence will certainly be polite with a woman and that gives her the advantage of being aggressive with him.
However, his advantage is knowledge of issues. She's a moron. She only seems knowledgeable compared to Biden.

Pence will come to the debate stage with the "above the fray" conservative approach. The "above the fray" approach will work with most folks because they're tired of the contentious behavior between conservatives and Dims the past four years.
Pence just needs to be truthful down to earth Pence and leave the blow torching of the Dims to Trump.

Biden is a total buffoon and Kamala attacked him in the Dem primary debates. She scored no points nationally. Dem voters don't even like her. If it weren't for the media carrying the water for her, you wouldn't even know her name.

I think Pence was debate champion in college. He also hosted a radio show. I think he will be well prepared for this.

All he has to do is torque Harris just enough to get her into count mode. It shouldn't be hard. Harris is probably the most unliked Politician since McCarthy. This woman finished dead last in the Democrat Primary, so there are plenty of Democrats that don't like her.

Pence has been really impressive in his speeches this year. Seems more comfortable and relatable than in 2016. I think he takes her.

Well I guess I won't watch it. As soon as I can early vote I will. I've made up my mind. Then I'll drink a glass of bourbon every day till the election. And I won't pay any attention to politics.
