If the govt tells you to eat bugs the people will do it to save the planet.
Just like people are giving up gas cars and buying EVs to save the planet.
Oh wait.

Rural canadians arent gonna go for that.
Moose just taste so much better.

We will eat the bugs. We'll eat shite if they tell us to.

They will begin by "fortifying" your traditional protein foods with 1% insect powder. After people don't make a fuss initially, they will double it to 2 %, then later 4%, then 8%, ad nauseam (no pun intended).
This will eventually lead to people eating 100% insect based meals. You should bookmark this post.

The rationale is that people already unintentionally eat a bunch of bugs already through simple contamination. Lots of foots processed and packaged get "incidental" bug contamination. As long as it's not too many, the FDA doesn't deem it to be too big of a deal.
Applying the "equity" agenda means that foods that don't contain insect parts will start getting their, "fair share" of parts. Any food with added protein will probably sneak in a little mealworm or some other bug source.
Once you start thinking like these scumbags, you start to see how it can be introduced everywhere.

This is why we moved from the mountains of Western NC to the beach. There isn't enough protein in those hills to sustain a population and people will be reliant on crap store/govt foods that we avoid like the plague now. We can eat out of the creek/ocean and feed a lot of old folks as well. Enjoy the bugs.

With my limited exposure to Canada , a hunting trip to Alberta, I don’t see those folks giving up ribeyes for grasshoppers. Could be wrong but I don’t see it.

Need to label all Canadian meat products as potentially containing insects. That was done worldwide with genetically modified seeds.

I guess I can go ahead and make that Gordon Ramsay meme of “This has so many bugs that Bethesda is charging $69.99 for it!”

These leftist lunatics, no matter what country, are friggin’ bat-shite crazy and are a menace to society!

I'm not a bug scientist but isn't a cricket a close relative of the Roach ?
Also after the production plant is built who will get the contract for ' pest control ' ?

If I could draw I would do a prairie scene with little cowboys riding ponies and herding crickets.

Trudeau funneled cash to the insect protein company via his green slush fund, Sustainable Development Technology Canada (SDTC), which is currently embroiled in a mismanagement scandal that caused CEO Leah Lawrence to resign on November 10, as the report notes.
I'm sure this fake French Canadian Jerk Trudeau will be dining on fine grass fed filet mignon while expecting rank and file Canadians to eat bugs.

That’s not why they are pushing it. It is due mostly to their CO2 concerns.

And it they wanna eat bugs I'm not going to stand in their way. It just leaves more cows for me.

Canada is a great place to hunt and fish. That may be the only way to get decent food there.

I have no problem with eating processed insects as long as it is my free range chickens that have processed them into nice juicy home grown fried chicken.
