Did you read where I mentioned any certain country or ethnicity? My question stands for everyone.

Damned straight I do. If it's being bombed to frick and back by two different sides I want nothing to do with, then after a while I move far enough away that I am out of the theater of operations.
If I agree with one of the sides fighting though, I stay my arse there and try to kill enough of the enemy to make them take their battle elsewhere.
Sometmes,there just aren't enough upvotes .

Fight how, and with who?
Asaad? No thanks. He is the "better option" and a massive improvement over his father, but he still rules as an authoritarian.
Rebels? The most effective forces are Nusra/AQ and the rest fight when, where, and how nusra tells them to fight. The core of the rebels are terrorists. No thanks.
If someone gives me a chance to do better for my family through a refugee program I am taking it with no apologies.

It used to be. Now it's on track to being great again, thankfully!
Don't like America being great again? You know what to do. GTFO.

I could imagine myself making border deals maybe, planning for something else.Just leave the place where your ancestors lived and died, trying to make a better world for me?Not a chance.
Do you not realize they're dodging bombs and ISIS? Good luck defending you and your family from that unless your objective is to die trying and likely have your whole family killed.
These people can't help where they were born, and for us to act like they're inferior people not worthy of Western support is absolute nonsense.

If I was a woman or child, yes.

I'm wondering why they go to Europe instead of the many surrounding Muslim countries where there is less of a culture barrier.
Only 10% went to Europe. Surrounding countries like Jordan and Turkey are taking the bulk. Also, many of the people headed to Europe already had family there. If disaster struck your family would you not seek out relatives living in a safe place? The only difference is now these people are stuck in camps and aren't being granted asylum. Whether you agree or disagree with granting asylum, you must acknowledge the humanitarian crisis at play, the West's role, and that providing them at least basic lodging is the human thing to do. As it stands now, Europe and the UN hasn't followed through with their commitments and you've got refugees stuck living in flimsy tents during record breaking winter weather.

If I was 15-29, there's no fricking chance I'd give up my country without a fight.

How could you trust a person that would do that?
Clearly anyone who doesn't want their children to be killed is untrustworthy.

Maybe they opted to get their mothers and sisters to safety... Thats not brave?

A good number of my family were refugees from Cuba, right after Castro took over. My brother came over on the Mariel Boat Lifts.

With all it's problems America is and always will be worth fighting for. Syria, or any country in the Mid-East for that matter, is not. They left because there is nothing left worth killing or dying for. On that note, no, I don't support them coming to America. They might be vicitms of war, but they still hate us.

Our earliest ancestors here, didn't exactly have it easy.I know mine didn't.
Oh shite, I forgot We had a shite ton of slaves. Got to have some help to grow so many fricking rocks.
They don't just happen by theyselve's.

Fair point worth further investigation if true, could you please provide some sources for your statements, particularly the one regarding the demographic makeup of the refugees as well as their distribution. I'm open to reconsidering my opinions

Aint that the damn truth? Being born American, I think that I am totally unqualified to answer that question.
Hypothetically speaking? Yeah, I would GTFO of the sandbox.

What if it's you and your bolt action .270 v the full technological might of the US military? Yeah, you'd be refugee as frick.

Let's not forget a lot of these Syrian refugees are blacks coming from Africa.
And further, how crazy is it to go to a different country where they just give you more money for doing nothing than you could have earned staying in your country? Then you can rape their women and children multiple times and nothing happens to you. It's a weird world.

I'd have to assess the odds of the fight being worth the long term benefit.
If I lived in the Middle East, I'd probably quickly assess that it's a long term shithole with no winners, regardless of temporary victories by whatever faction has their fleeting moment of influence. I'd gtfo.
