I think they were just explaining the origins of the word. Like a lot of words in pop culture, it's morphed a bit. Whoever mentioned intersectionality probably got the most accurate meaning as the word exists currently.

We didn't coin woke. I know the left lives their entire lives by defining people with specific definitions even when they don't ask to be (us), but we don't have to define woke. That's their term.

If we are trying to take the position we aren’t dealing with people who post here regularly like us but normies, especially centrist philosophic Locke style liberals, what I was trying to articulate is I think the well has been poisoned on woke more or less and will do us more harm than good.
Whoever downvoted this please come out of the shadows and articulate an argument against it. I’d love to be swayed from my position trust me and I’m off work.

The term has been flipped against them, which is why they are so upset about it.
It was originally used by blacks to point out imaginary racism. Then the blue hairs took it from the blacks to include all of their craziness like transjingus, homos, butt sex, etc.

Woke progressives aren’t liberals and it’s my strong opinion we all need to get in the habit of making that distinction. I’m not badgering you I still do it at times it’s hard to break habits but we actually need the true liberals because they don’t like the progs or socialist either trust me.

By “true liberals” I assume you mean classical liberalism, which is actually conservative and which I support. No part of modern progressivism has anything good to offer our society.

Yes I mean philosophically liberalism and we can get in the weeds about if that’s “conservative” or not now but they wouldn’t call themselves so. They would use centrist.

Woke is from 'awaken'. It means "I have seen the light and realize capitalism is evil. We must destroy it and everyone who uses it to suppress us."
