Can we speculate why Tucker Carlson is smearing Kevin McCarthy via Frank Luntz?

I feel like daddy Murdoch and the boys would never allow Kevin McCarty to be attacked on their channel unless there is a reason to do so. McCarthy is a GOPe guy and appears to be a friend of daddy Murdoch. McCarthy comes from a long line of GOPe leadership...John Boenher to Paul Ryan to Kevin McCarthy. Did McCarthy fray too far away from the GOPe plantation by cozying up to Trump? Does Liz Cheney have Rupert's phone number on speed dial and Rupert told Tucker to attack McCarthy via Liz as retribution?

Look, I would be very happy to see the GOP jettison Kevin McCarthy. He likes to dabble in the GOPe/U.S. Chamber of Commerce crowd a little too much for me. I would love to see Jim Jordan replace McCarthy for GOP leadership but that would be a MAJOR fight between the Freedom Caucus faction and the establishment faction.

Why do you think Tucker is allowed to attack McCarthy via Luntz right now?

I can criticize FoxNews as much as anyone else. But over years of watching Tucker Carlson, it is quite clear to me that he does NOT take orders from anyone. I can think of almost no one on the air smarter and more honest and free to voice his opinion than Tucker.

Maybe because Tucker is their anchor show right now, hates Luntz and DNGAF.

Probably because like the rest of us, he’s sick of republican leadership sleeping with special interest groups, and dickhead lobbyists, and not giving two shits about their constituents. McCarthy talks the talk, but he don’t walk the walk

It could be that simple but I think there is more to it. Rupert wouldn't allow this if McCarthy wasn't towing the GOPe line. Tucker certainly appears to hate Luntz and that's probably his motivation. However it would seem that the Murdochs would have to "OK" this line of attack before Tucker proceeded. Murdoch's motivation would be to replace McCarthy with someone a little more loyal to the GOP establishment...especially the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

I agree for the most part. But right after the election Tucker refused to talk about the shite Fox News pulled on election night (concerning AZ and Florida) and election fraud. It was the reason Newsmax had a bump in ratings. Normal Fox News viewers were flocking to Newsmax to get news and analysis on election fraud. Fox News muzzled Tucker during this time.

If Rupert was still running that network, you'd be right. But if Rupert was still running it, FNC's Nielsen Ratings wouldn't be in the toilet either.

I take him at his word. Tucker thinks Luntz has taken his 30 pieces of silver and has the same loyalty to the GOP that Judas did to ........

Why was the story about Liz Cheney enlisting her daddy & Mattis to write Op-Ed's about OMB-allowed to come out?

Usually the swamp's dirty little tricks via others are covered up.

I think we are watching two swamp creatures attack one another; and McCarthy wins in the end as the lesser of two evils. McCarthy wants the Speaker role he lost because he was having an affair.

McCarthy didn't spend 4 long years sucking up to the Trump's and hunting with Junior-for nothing.

There it is. Fox trying to walk the fence between reporting the WHOLE truth, and "doing what's right" (their new slogan, replacing the "fair and balanced".

Did McCarthy stand up for Trump's 'stolen election' narrative...or jump in with the 'no fraud' crowd? Yes or no on this should be the honesty litmus test for any Republican SOH, from here forward.

The Dem Party has gone Totalitarian Fascist, with the DOJ and MSM as the point of their hegemony spear. It has went from the mud to down in the ditch. Given the current policy (insane) mandates and likely consequences, by '22, MTG types will force the RINOs to either go all in, or be primaried out. McCarthy at the fore; though he likely told Trump that he was just playing politics, and was all in MAGA. 'Fool me once...'.

Keep in mind ..... McCarthy supported Cheney and refused to back her ouster. Now that she won't shut up ....he got the message to get her out before the Republicans get him out.

I think since Trump left office Tucker has picked up the torch of draining the swamp. He realizes that before we can blow up the left we have to blow up the right and build a coalition strong enough to take down the left.

it comes full circle back to Liz Cheney

gingrich-is-exactly-right-liz-cheney-is-positioning-to-support-the-deep-state-with-an-independent-run-for-office

The Swamp has tried throwing in 16 Rubio's & Romney's it doesn't work.

they think they will spoil the Trump endorsed candidate with a third party run. it makes no sense because this is stealing votes from whoever the dem is.

Mccarthy’s Roommate in DC is actually former congresswoman (and former Tea Party member until she was elected and went GOPe) Renee Elmers. His wife back home probably thinks he’s sleeping at Franks place.
