They impeached him on the premise that Trump was asking help from a foreign country on a political rival of Trump.

What rival? It sure the hell isn't Biden.

Got it fixed. Duh on me.

Each group of letters you assembled is definitely a valid word, but where you failed is stringing those words together to make a coherent sentence.

The House didn’t false anything. They truly accused him of a crime. The House presented him the charges. The Senate acquitted him. But not sure how you say there was a false acquittal

What was false about the impeachment? They did it and had a trial over it.

You can’t even say they false accusations because they accused him of the crime. The only thing false was their belief of guilt.

He is saying that the motives listed are now shown to be moot.

You're making this harder than it was intended.

I doubt it. Impeachment is political, and the power to impeach rests with the House at their discretion.

If Republicans win the House, they should impeach Pelosi and Schiff for abuse of power and obstruction of congress, though.

Maybe if he would've complied to prove his innocence. Why would you order witnesses not to testify unless you knew you had done something wrong? At the very least, he obstructed Congress. At worst, he is a traitor. Trading downvotes for facts btw so bring it on boys!

Downvotes?

Hell yeah. Deranged progs get plenty.

You are a pedo and raped 1283 sheep and donkeys in the past 10 years. Prove your innocence. Dumbass commie.

You people are insane.

In our justice system the accused doesn't prove their innocence.

Yeah except for the fact that there are records of his crimes. The transcript proves his guilt. Add in the fact that he withheld the funds the same day of the phone call? Yeah, that's what he didn't want people testifying about. Also, I'd be amazed if you could define communism without having to Google it.

Not worth it - keep the moral high ground and use it in November.

Only revenge worth having will be winning a 2nd term and (hopefully) winning back the House. Then appointing Amy Comey Barrett to replace RBG.

As if pubs have the moral high ground. Just look at the way your president disrespects every person who doesn't worship him. You're lying to yourself, buddy. Probably too much Facebook and fox news, it's not your fault. Love y'all as Americans but the echo chamber is real. Facebook, fox, the Donald, Breitbart, something everyone around here has in common.

Impeachment is a political process, not a legal process.
