What a monster! She has to get taken a distance less than a Wyoming eye appointment for an abortion...if she is preggers, she should've said something about the rape.

What kind of world are we living in?

Your outrage is fricking ridiculous.

The privacy to kill an unborn child based on it being the privacy between the woman and her doctor. Which is dumb.

A decent person would give a 10 year old child a pass for not coming forward about being raped. But you are not a decent person or a particularly bright one either.

It’s another situation that represents .0001% of the reason people have abortions. So because this happens, abortion activists want all abortions to be allowed. They do not actually care about the situation, they are trying to find a situation that will make those with a conscious ignore it.

A decent person wouldn’t continually seek a situation that justifies the dismembering of the innocent.

Rights awarded to the mother, yet never to the baby ... even as the court recognized the issue of fetal viability, and its ramifications in the discussion. That was Roe's undoing.

And this has zero to do with what I said.

Didn't mean it as a gotcha. Just provocation of thought. It's what Zach does.

Does the Ohio law allow exceptions for the health of the mother? If the pregnancy presents a health risk to the 10 year old, the doctor should have presented that as their reasoning for the abortion rather than the rape. Or as has been pointed out, erred on the side of a later conception date as it is very difficult to determine exact gestational age this early in the pregnancy and you are basically relying on the date of last menstrual period, which is highly unlikely to fit into a regular cycle for a 10 year old.

This “child abuse doctor” had two different ways to ensure this girl could legally end her pregnancy (health of mother, gestational age of fetus) but instead chose the option that makes the perfectly times news headline. I’m doubtful.

I agree with every bit of that.

if so, it literally under no circumstance ever can be consensual for a 10 year old to have sex. period end of discussion.

My point EXACTLY... it can't be consensual, so tell us who raped you and let's handle both the rapist and the pregnancy. If not, carry it to term.

I thought about the same thing. Clearly, through a couched new maternal assessment, leading questions as to exact dates of LMP could easily shift EDC forward.

But questions of criminality combined with zealotry might have simply elevated the risk index beyond what she was willing to take on.

Or it's just all made up. 99.9% chance this story is fiction.

What kind of data do we have on 10-year olds and abortion safety?

You are doing exactly what I said. Desperately seeking an excuse to justify the dismembering of the unborn. You are disgusting.

Ohio law like almost every other state including Texas allows for abortion to protect the life of the mother.

Zach, I know you are like 200 years old, but in the 21st century it is 100% impossible for a 10 year old pregnant child to lie about being raped. But you go ahead and call her a lying ho.

To the contrary I think most folks here are calling YOU a lying ho!

Most go even further and allow exceptions to save the life of the mother or if they risk “substantial impairment of major bodily function.” A doctor could pretty reliably make a case that carrying a pregnancy to term could substantially impair a major bodily function of a 10 year old body.

But of course, this “child abuse doctor” didn’t go that route. Just called it a 6 week 3 day pregnancy and called the news.
