Helping these people needs to be the focus.

In 2016 parts of Louisiana flooded like never before. Over 146,000 homes damaged or destroyed.

How many in California ever heard about it? How many gave a shite?

Global warming.

I guess they have to stop using power plants and use only solar and wind power.

Ooh, can’t use that either as they harm something.

And the Governor of this state wants to be president and ultimately in charge of FEMA who would oversee hurricane and tornado response.

the country should rescue these poor Californians who their own State doesn't care about.

Those in rural places aren't the ones destroying the State.

That is an outstanding observation. In other words, how FAKE is that picture?

Why am I quietly chuckling at the misfortune of these people?
It's the mountains... in the winter. Why were so many so ill-prepared?

That’s a personal matter and it doesn’t speak well of yourself.

No one is digging out from the huge amounts of snow that is dumping with this regularity.

I posted in a thread yesterday with a link to one of the lakes we go to during the summer that showed they had received nearly 500 inches of snow (that’s the low measurement) with upwards of 600 inches. It’s bad. There’s a town there too.

I suppose taking hints from the meterologists' forecasts required critical thinking.

You do understand global warming predicts these types of events, don't you?

But yeah, celebrate people struggling. It's the Christian thing to do.

These people obviously have zero snow moving equipment and are stranded. Heck, 3" will shut down Atlanta because they have no snow moving equipment.

I wonder if the media is going to cover these stories of stranded and hungry people in the next few days (because it goes against the global warming narrative they always push). No one was prepared for getting snowed-in in Southern California.

When you predict everything you can't be wrong.

Thinking that our tax dollars can control the climate is peak hubris.

I’m sure plenty heard about it. I did and it wasn’t just from lurking here at the time. But I’ll go back to Katrina. An old coworker of mine brought her nephew out here as their family lost their home in the flooding. Try taking off the “Californians are assholes” glasses for once. There are good people all over the place.

Now how many Louisianans give a shite about what’s happened out here with the fires and now this? Not many based on the comments. I think some of you enjoy taking cheap shots because “California”. But that just makes you an a-hole and you don’t understand the communities being damaged. You just see California.

OIC. Now they want us to do the Christian thing. Frig California and the City of Lost Angels in particular.

They have it Gumbo. But the amounts of snow is overwhelming. Roofs are collapsing. I’ve seen live cams where the snow on the roof is built up higher than the cabin itself. That amount is fell in a weekend.

I think you’re right, and I see it now. Looks like a snow bank along the base of the trees and those appear to be shadows
