So what direction do you think the Republican Party should go?

Become the party of George Bush, Mitt Romney, Paul Ryan and John McCain again? Do you think a Mitt Romney style Republican wins Ohio by 10 points, takes Pennsylvania and Wisconsin to a statistical draw or Florida by 5?

So you think instead the Republican Party should try to pander to the white professional class in states like California and Virginia instead with a message of tax cuts for corporations and free trade deals?

Watch what happens in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Iowa, Ohio and Wisconsin when you take 'Trumpism' out of the GOP. It would look like California tonight

beastieboys and Issa Hank think that the GOP should go back to being the party of Mitt Romney and George Bush and run on a platform of corporate tax cuts, amnesty, free trade and neoconservative foreign policy with endless middle eastern war.

George W Bush is the only Republican to break 50% nationally in almost 30 years.

I about fly into orbit I I step in a pile of dog shite walking in my yard. I can only imagine how pissed I would be if I was walking along on a sidewalk somewhere in California and step in a pile of human shite. Why people allow this I do not know. Most these big cities have laws on the books where you have to carry a scooper and a bag to dispose of the shite after you walk your pet. Most places you have to pay a big fine if you are caught not cleaning up after your pet. If a homeless person shits on the sidewalk though and they don’t care. It’s amazing to me why people would live in a place where they have to step of a pile of shite and needles on their way to work everyday.

We had a chance to about 6 years ago but my Dad was diagnosed with ALS so that played a big part in staying here. Now he’s gone and we started a small business in 2018 that needs to keep growing in order for us to get out of here. Fricking sucks but that’s what it is.

And barely won both times- came down to a single state days after the election ended. States Trump won by 8-10%. There is no GOP path to victory without the Rust Belt anymore. Virginia is gone for good and Arizona might be too. GOP has to build in PA, MI, and WI to make up for those states

Trumps politics without the baggage and 2020 L would be ideal. As much as he fires up people to vote for him, the opposite is also true.

Arnold killed the GOP there

No, it was Pete Wilson.

California used to be a Republican-favorable state, casting its electoral votes for the GOP candidate for president in all but one election (1964) from 1952 to 1988. Then Wilson wanted to deny basic services to immigrants, including public schools, healthcare and housing and supported a mean-spirited referendum which passed. That kind of shifted the paradigm in that state forever.

Where I lived in San Diego, I lived in a brand new high rise building and as soon as you stepped outside it was tents lining the sidewalks as far as the eye could see in both directions. Homeless everywhere. Human shite and trash and litter and garbage everywhere. It was disgusting. My sister asked me why I never took walks around where I lived in Downtown San Diego. Because it was filthy.

This is what democrats want, though. They are fine with it. They want two classes - the elites, and the peasants. The elite democrat liberals just ignore the peasants and make themselves feel better by voting democrat as they believe that absolves them from the guilt they have about living in luxury while there are homeless right outside their gates living in squalor.

This is a media lie.

Name one other Republican who turns out 75 million votes.

Those only matter until you lose North Carolina in 3 years or Texas in 7.

Get better ideas and stop calling elections fraudulent. Suppressing your own vote is just insanity.

You never answered me about what "better ideas" the Republican Party should embrace.

I’m not a Republican, but an obvious one is healthcare. It’s a top 3 issue to almost all voters, and especially independents.

What an asskicking. Embarrassing

What's embarrassing is that this loser governor is acting like he won re-election and will give a speech and this kind of stuff when the fact is that he is so bad that even a lot of the most liberal douchebags in America want him out as governor. The fact that there has even been a recall vote is embarrassing when you consider who populates California. And this dude had all the money imaginable behind him, so of course he had every advantage in a situation like this. But you can't polish a turd.

What ideas currently in Cali do you agree with? Is it the crime, homeless or high taxes?

So if you aren't a Republican why are you lecturing those on the right about what the party should or shouldn't do?

For all we know your "advice" will be measures that will ensure the Republican Party remains irrelevant.

Let's be real, you want the GOP to move on from Trump because you know the threat he poses to the democrats. You fear him, and know distancing from Trump will ensure democrat victories for years to come. That's the real reason you posted the GOP needs to move on from Trump.

Healthcare...

I am sure your ideal healthcare solution is single payer
