Land of fruits and nuts my friend.
The upside for me is this goes south and gives me another reason to get the the hell out of here.
ETA: had a few beverages

Your vote doesn’t count anymore. We’re just on an inevitable run towards either submission to corrupt authoritarian fascism or fighting for freedom. But there’s no democratic way back anymore.

Based on my precinct there is zero chance that everyone will get a chance to vote if they close at 8 and don’t make any exceptions. The line was longer when we left than when we first got there and we were in line for over an hour. The street outside the library was backed up both north and southbound for people trying to get into the parking lot. Hopefully they will allow voters in as long as they are in line by 8pm.

I got 3 ballots mailed to me when I lived in California for the 2020 primary, only one of which was addressed to me
Even though I moved in August 2020 a ballot for the general was still sent out in my name
Voting in CA is pointless. Legal ballot harvesting and unsolicited mail ballots will ensure democrats will never lose a statewide election again

Truthfully, I agree in the long term. But I can’t give up hope just yet. 2022 will be very telling though and I’m not willing to quit on the US. For now, we fight while there is a glimmer of hope.

Doesn't California allow ballot harvesting in federal elections? Does that apply to state elections as well? That stuff is so crooked. It's not even "voting" as I understand the definition of the word.

Yes, the ballot harvesters I had to deal with for a week for the 2020 primaries were a royal pain in the arse. They hounded everyone on the sidewalks and streets around my apartment... "have you filled out your ballot yet? Do you need help?"
If it was that high pressure for a primary I can't imagine what they are like in the general

We basically allow for anything here. Anyone on the voter rolls gets a mail in ballot. The rolls themselves are not kept current so the entire system is rife with corruption. For tonight’s vote I didn’t even have to show my ID. I gave my last name, then first name. They asked for the home address and printed off a sticker that I had to sign. Names and addresses are public info and a signature can be faked. It’s a mess but that’s what we have.

it says 3AM again then switched back to 11

Yep, if you have a phone book or access to an address directory, you can vote in the name of anyone. The poll workers don't care. And people will say "muh its a felony if you do that muh" but no one is enforcing it. I bet I could go vote for someone named Gladys Gertrude Smtih at some precinct and the poll workers wouldn't even bat an eyelash.

I expected a Jewish name coming from you
But yeah, you’re totally right. The system here is broken but that’s been done by design.

so that is why people said they were told they already voted...
it looks like about 15 minutes until the dems load the machines with 600,000 pre printed China ballots like they did in PA.

No shot this will be close or honest. They will find whatever votes they need to sway the results if they are down.

Don’t ruin it for me CA! I’m still in my happy place thinking that it might happen.

do they bother hauling in suitcases of ballots or just have them all right there in case they need them? did the warehouses blow up I mean lose the servers yet in case they are audited later?
Posted on 9/14/21 at 9:54 pm to Figgy
sorry, but one more question. when they count the suitcase ballots and suddenly find ballots in car trunks and trees do they lock up and say the terlet overflowed? or just do it outright?

California has it down to a science. They have been doing this for years.
The problem with Georgia is that it was their first rodeo. Hence the sloppiness.

Not just that but they need to run up the score. They know it will bad bad optics if Newsome wins only by single digits.
They need a big Newsome win because the mainstream media pieces and stories are already written about how California voters voted no to recall Newsome because lockdowns, restrictions, mask mandates, and vaccine mandates are so popular which proves that not just California but the US population in general has a strong hankering desire for all of those things as well.
If Newsome doesn't win in blowout fashion, those stories will be harder to sell. They will still be written anyway, but less people will buy it and it will be harder to coerce weak kneed politicians to go along with more restrictions, lockdowns and mandates.
