Should we just do away with gender altogether? I mean if we're moving more and more to allowing people to determine their own gender based on their feelings why should we have gender in the first place? What does gender even mean if we accept people with female anatomy as being male?

This is a serious question. Why even determine gender anymore?

"Oh no ... that orange feels like an apple ... it's an apple."
"HEY-OOOO... my mistake! ... SU-PERRRR!"

"Let me have a sausage patty."
"Oh no, child ... that's a sausage link."
"HEYYY-OOOOO... you know I LOVE some sausage!"

What a bunch of fricking freaks.

I don't understand your question.

Gender isn't something that needs to be subjectively determined or chosen.

Will hospital gift shops soon have cigars with:

"IT'S A ... WELL, WHATEVER YOU FREAKS DECIDE 5 YEARS FROM NOW!"

... for sale for proud "parents" to hand out?

I wanted to be a triceratops when I was 5 and my parents wouldn't get me the triceratops conversion like I wanted and I have felt like I have lived on the fringe of society since.

I truly hope they dont disfigure this poor little child by giving HER male hormones. Good grief the child is 5 years old, some of the prettiest and feminine girls I know were tomboys when they were children.

This should be same age as age of consent IMO.

It's game on now. The sad thing is that most people probably feel this is wrong, but if anyone were to speak out against it the LGBT mafia would come after your arse.

I completely feel for the family and the child. I don't think they asked for this or wanted it. its got to be hard to wake up and realize that you are in the wrong body.

I don't think a 5 year old is mature enough to make this decision.

have you ever interacted with a 5 year old?

They want to be a bird, or a dog, or a fireman, or whatever.

If the child wanted to be a dolphin should they have thrown her in the water?

I wouldn't want the state to step in.

BUT

They're idiots.

scruffy not at all. You and I agree that this is crazy to let a 5 year kid make a decision like this.

There is a book I highly recommend. It's called "As Nature Made Him". The true story of parents who changed their boy into a girl shortly after birth.

An accident during circumcision meant the boy would grow up with a mutilated penis. A psychiatrist convinced the parents to immediately remove the penis. The child would be raised as a girl from day 1. Then a vagina would be constructed. Then female hormones.

The Dr. wanted to write a book proving that sexuality is from environment not biology. He would become internationally famous for his ground breaking work.

It did not end well at all.

What's most disturbing is how many liberals think this is "courageous"

Hooray for Transgender Kids

No wonder Russia and China think America can be had. They see how weak and decrepit our culture has become and believe that we are on our way down. When Putin sees this Time Magazine cover, I'm sure a full invasion of Ukraine won't be far behind....

This is not libertarian. The little girl is being harmed. No libertarian thinks its ok to harm another person.

It would be a libertarian isssue if the girl, having reached an age which she could make an informed decision, were prohibited by the state from doing this herself.
