You did not misread. It's based on one example with some possible teeth and 268 others...in a county with 860,000 votes.
California in 2024 is a TERRIBLE example b/c of how many DEM votes were lost compared to 2020. California's lack of enthusiasm for Kamala explains a ton of the lost Biden votes.

Following these types of “hammer about the fall” stories over the past year or so is like being on a treadmill.
Sometimes it’s a steady walk, sometimes it’s a full out sprint ….but when you look around you realize you haven’t gone anywhere.
