Orwell was off by about 40 years.

Yes, the video and the associated events are real. The footage shows British police officers using a battering ram to enter a private residence, which was part of an investigation into social media activity. This incident is consistent with recent reports and public discourse about the British police's approach to monitoring and responding to social media posts, including cases involving individuals like Deborah Anderson and a teenage girl in Walsall. The context of these actions is framed within broader concerns about freedom of speech, the extent of police powers, and the balance between public safety and individual rights in the UK.

Must be nice knowing the homeowner doesn’t have guns.

Yes. It is real.
A couple weeks ago they arrested someone for calling someone a muppet on social media. UK has honestly slipped into the twilight zone.

This can't be real, is it?
Seems like a real drug arrest, not for social media posting.

So this was fake news I take it?
Which is crazy because the UK does this type of shite for real all the time so weird to make it seem worse than it already is.

Section 4a of the Public Order Act 1986 says that if “with intent to cause a person harassment, alarm or distress” someone uses “threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour, or disorderly behaviour” thereby causing someone else “harassment, alarm or distress” they are guilty of an offence.
He was arrested and brought to jail but the powers that be realized how utterly asinine that was so he was released.

If you guys would pay attention to the community notes, this was over a huge drug bust.
The phone confiscation that happened in the last couple of days was two female police officers attempting to a take a woman's daughter's phone from their house due to social media "offence", and forcing entry the old fashioned way (pushing the door open against the homeowner.) It sure as shite wasn't this.
