Not to derail the thread, but this does evoke emotions of great sadness and anger.

My uncle was in bad health and in care of a long-term nursing facility in 2019 and then 2020 during Corrvid. When the lockdowns started, they disallowed visitors period inside the facility, even if the visitos were gloved and wearing a fully sealed N95 mask. His three kids and four grandkids had to visit him by calling his room phone while looking at in him through a closed window. "For his protection and the protection of our other patients" they said. Then suddenly his health took an absolute shite when it had been in a trudging positive direction. 48 hours later the facility decided to let the family in. Uncle had been completely unconscious during these 48 hours, and was now mottling with shallow breaths completely unresponsive, and they facility called my family and told the them to come in and come inside his room because he was transitioning (dying).

So all that time they could have spent physically in his presence, but it was intolerable until uncle's second foot was going in the grave. They got to be with him physically when he passed, but damn. As an aside, one of his final acts before passing away in early November of 2020 was placing his ballot for Donald J. Trump in the mail, even though he had been a lifelong Kennedy Democrat.

Yet, I can't overall hate the Left as a monolithic entity because they aren't. I dislike most of them, but the Masked Covidian Cultist brigade, I despise with the searing fire of ten million supernovas.

Studio Ghibli-fying images/memes via AI is the hot thing on X recently. This is a good one with a decent number of memes referenced. It's kind of beautiful, but unfortunately brief.
