... But a sham peach mint is ongoing to suck all the oxygen out of the North American media.

This is easily one of the biggest, if not the biggest behind maybe only Trump's election, defeats of modern globalism and elitists.

God save the Queen!

If it wasn’t the impeachment, they would find another way to drown it out.

The EU and its supporters are PISSED the UK pulled it off.

I hope Italy goes next. And then forms a trade pact with UK and the US.

I wouldn’t think any of the PIIGS jump without a major external event happening.

Italy’s economy isn’t that strong so they would need a big push to jump.

The media would block this out regardless.

Well...

I mean, the American MSM Propaganda Machine all but completely ignored new sections of border wall going up recently and also an historic USMCA agreement being signed, as well as GDP exceeding expectations once again.

But it's just more Orange Man Bad bullshite, is what really matters.

Very likely, IMO. But they don’t have their own currency which massively complicates the situation.

The wisdom of Britain not to abandon the Pound was probably the only thing that made this logistically possible for them.

A country like Italy, trying to reinstate its old currency, would be disastrous.

To be fair, Daily Mail has a much larger viewership here in the US than in Britain.

One way the EU can survive into the future is to allow countries to restart their own currencies, as that can help some of the smaller economies in the union deal with the larger economies. Otherwise, it will be difficult to deal with bumps in the road, unless the EU essentially becomes a federation where countries give up more sovereignty.

I think the refugee crisis is actually instructive as to how the EU should behave. A crisis at its eastern border is a crisis for the whole union, and without central leadership who could enact action against the will of certain states, it was always liable to explode into something untenable. In contrast, a large federated polity such as the US would have dealt with the mass movement of people much better, at least in theory.

It ironic that the EU was formed to keep Germany in check, yet Germany rules the European fiefdoms
