You have some concrete evidence they didn't?

The benefit of the doubt definitely needs to go to the violent arm of the state. We know they NEVER lie.

Agree. No-knock warrants are bad news. The problem I have is, again, it's been made a racial issue - but it's clearly not. There are plenty of examples of people of all races being victimized just as badly (or worse) than Breonna Taylor during execution of a no-knock warrant, but I'm pretty sure Inside the NBA nor any of the other race-baiting media/entertainment ever bothered to discuss any of them.

There is a LOT of misinformation and rumors floating in this thread on all sides. Unfortunately it's just a result of the social media rumor mill and endless echo chamber.

I'd really urge you to give this article a read for an objective rundown of what is and isn't known although it's a few weeks old at this point: LINK /

Also here's Walker's interview from the night of the incident: LINK

It's a very messy situation that doesn't appear to be cut and dry from either side. Hopefully the investigation results and details come out soon, as it does seem to be a situation where all the details still aren't out.

I think it definitely was a wrongful death and the family will clean up in a lawsuit or settlement, but getting a conviction for any kind of murder against these officers is not going to be in the cards based on how it played out.

To be fair someone inside the residence allegedly shot first.

Which agains goes back to the question of whether they announced or not.

Their credibility is shot to hell as they claimed no forced entry on their police report.

In a recorded statement to investigators, Mattingly said police executed the warrant at Taylor's apartment at the same time as the home on Elliott Avenue. Mattingly said the warrant for her apartment was secured as a no-knock, but he was told to knock and announce. Taylor's apartment was considered a "soft target" with minimal threats. "They said they did not believe she had children or animals, but they weren't sure," Mattingly said. "Said she should be there alone because they knew where their target was."

If that’s true, that this was a “soft target,” why go in at midnight? On the basis that another guy supposedly picked up a package at her house?

Uh. What?

quote:

Glover's arrest citation lists the time of his offense at 12:40 a.m., the same time the search warrant was executed. But his arrest was listed at 2:43 a.m. March 13, more than two hours later. In the amended complaint, Aguiar says police initially recorded the time for the search and Glover's arrest as midnight, then later altered the record to add 40 minutes — matching the search time for Taylor's apartment.

This looks shady even if it’s accurate.

The police do say they didn’t expect the main target of the warrants to be at Taylor’s house.

Nope, right place. Knocked with a no-knock warrant.

Which was the wrong apartment.

Any decent police work would have caught that but it’s more fun to use war toys and kill innocent citizens

Next time I want to talk to you I’m going to wait until dark and kick down your door and then announce we can talk about something.

You can stop licking boots for two seconds and realize this was a piss poor unneeded and unsafe raid.

Yeah, the media and SJWs NEVER bring up the fact that her bf was lying next to her and was shooting at the entering cops.

I DON'T support no knock warrants, but it is important to provide context to these incidents. They literally make it out like she was just lying in bed and got annihilated.

What man wouldn’t defend his house? It’s night time and someone breaks in you going to just get on the floor?

It was the correct apartment. They had a no-knock warrant for her apartment.

They didn’t knock. It’s called a no knock warrant. Just a bunch of dudes, in the middle of the night, kicking your door in, screaming with guns drawn. What could go wrong?

Good point. She got out of bed to get annihilated.

It was the wrong apartment. The perp they were supposedly looking for lived somewhere else AND was already in police custody.

Yes and no.

They fully intended to hit Breonna’s apartment. They expected to find drugs and/or money there. The evidence seems flimsy for the warrant. And they didn’t expect the target of the multiple raids to be at Breonna’s house.

And they were wrong - front to back. So in that sense, they were in the wrong place. But they meant to be in the wrong place.

But is it “murder”?

I mean, first degree premeditated “murder”? No

But she was in her own home, innocent, and got shot to death by law enforcement

I can’t think of a situation where any red-blooded American should be okay with that.

The amazing thing about this case is that your typical 2nd amendment, “defend this fricking house“ baws should be ENRAGED at the idea that an innocent woman got killed by the state while a citizen was exercising his constitutional rights to bear arms and defend his property.

Instead some of them are licking boot.
