Of course not. But they own the phonebook and choose how and what information is displayed.

Lets say they only published black owned restaurants and businesses, left leaning corporations, and denied any listings that didnt jive with their thinking.

Is that cool?

Yep. And they are choosing to discriminate based on political ideology.

Yep. Webpages supporting extremist groups and terrorist sympathizers often get excluded from their search engine results. Horrible stuff

And yet the only "proof" it's from conservative fake news sources. Seems like it's not working so well after all.

Are we going to honestly sit here and say that CNN would have this as 'breaking news' ever or even mention this?

lol

CNN is not a good source either. Also, that is not how you should be accepting stories as fact. You are basically sayinng that if a conservative news site leaks the story then you are going to accept it as valid because you think it's not something CNN would release. That is got to be the dumbest way of sorting through information that I have ever seen.

bullshite. I can google "Antifa donate" and get dozens of results to give money to this terror group. I google "CPAC donate" and I get one link and a bunch of news stories about CPAC taking dirty money.

Oh shite! I just figured it out. You are Juice Terry alter.

2 of the links are borderline not even worth mentioning. the other is laughable.

go look at the date and the headlines for cnn that day and you can see what their 'news' was

BMY thinks Google is acting appropriately because he agrees that people like Alex Jones need to be silenced and marginalized.

And do we have an abundance of other viable search engines to choose from?

This was the main point of my idea in my original post. You keep posting emoticons and flailing around like a retarded monkey because you have no idea what you are talking about

Google has a near monopoly on search engines, and enormous influence over the flow of information on the internet. They even collude with hosting companies to boot sites off the internet entirely. And their standards do not adhere to any legal definition, it is their own made-up standards that include politically based censorship. They are using their monopolistic enormous influence to actively hinder traffic flow (revenue) to other private businesses based purely on political leanings.

Lolololol. That is your proof? fricking hilarious. First off, that's multiple chapters of antifa and there are also anti antifa links. CPAC is a solitary unit with not a lot of presence on multiple popular sites.

All good points genro but you omitted one very important point - that being collusion with China on several various levels.

Google colludes (sp) with China against our national security.

The amount of mental frickery going on here is outstanding.

Seems the same batch of folks up in arms about government intrusion into the net over the net neutrality debate are all now calling for government intrusion, of special note are the dipshits who think they have free speech rights with a private company that provides a free service.

Google is free to sensor WTF it wishes to, if you have an issue with it use a different search engine, the shareholders will demand change soon enough if revenue drops.

Alleged briefing. Only Breitbart has it, supposedly. A notorious fake news source.

They have screen shots of the power point, complete with the Google corporate watermark. Did you even open the link?

No. The premise of your argument is not based in reality. You are just basically saying that you will base your entire reality of what is fact on something you have zero proof of. Not to mention that if it was so egregious and all of your information was being so censored that you wouldn't even be able to read those things.

I have lots of proof. The video, the briefing, and the fact that I can use the search engine and very clearly see that they censor conservative content. This debate pre dates any of the Brietbart reporting on the issue, and there are even a few good videos on Youtube about it where users prove the bias by using similar search terms with Trump and Hillary -- especially with the autofill feature.

Again, you and BMY can pretend its not happening all you like. I can only state my case here, but I cannot make you less politically myopic.

I miss the old internet. Type something into lycos, altavista, excite, angelfire and find all kinds of crazy off the wall stuff, amateur shite that were made by real amateur people. Nothing was hate speech or fake news, it was just the people and their madness

Google destroyed all the other search engines, then decided your results should only be from their pre-approved list of these X number corporately owned sites and that's it. We just can't handle anything else. Their little tiny fraction of the ACCEPTABLE INTERNET. It's worse than the old AOL and their keywords. They turned the entire damn internet, as far as we can access and search, into a corporate leftist bookshop

How is that legitimate? So posting an image and claiming Insider knowledge is now passed on as fact in your mind?

So you dont know. Got it. Searching for something and then seeing the absence of something that you think should be there is not proof of censorship, dude.
If you really take a step back and think about what I just said you would realize how ridiculous you been this entire time.

I feel like the biggest censorship that is going on here is you censoring information yourself through your bias.
