This is one of my favorite reports. I don’t expect it’s going to keep being published.

Covid 19 in Vaccinated Individuals

86,000 breakthrough infections last week in Massachusetts.

5.15M fully vaccinated people in MA.

That means 1.6% of all vaccinated persons were infected with Covid in the last week. By comparison, over almost two years, 22% of all of Massachusetts has had a confirmed or presumed infection.

Just a little over a month ago, only 1.5% of the vaccinated had a confirmed Covid infection. Now it’s 6.8% of the vaccinated population.

The mortality rate is around 0.5%. That’s lower than the unvaccinated. But only a percentage of difference in what we’re seeing for death rates of the unvaccinated now. Not a factor of difference.

Hospitalization is around 2%. Which is also roughly what we’re seeing with unvaccinated for omicron.

I wouldn’t give a shite if the black plague ran rampant there. Just because of the accents alone.

That's higher than the OG strain. Where did this number come from?

That the vaccine is as useless as your reading.

My big takeaway is that the rate of infection in the vaccinated is quickly ramping up towards the rate of infection in the unvaccinated. And the rates of hospitalization and mortality in breakthrough infections are not wildly dissimilar from the rates of hospitalization and mortality in the unvaccinated.

Do you have any other questions you dumb count?

Is there a parallel unvaccinated report?

I enjoy giving out data. I like to let people draw some of their own conclusions. There’s something for everyone in that data.

Not if that’s CFR.

It is CFR. And even the estimated IFR is higher than 0.5% for the unvaccinated.

That's cool. I just wasn't clear but now I am.

I appreciate you providing the data for discussion.

Check out the most recent UK surveillance data. LINK - see pages 35-36

They don't provide the totals but if you break out the calculator the total cases for hospitalizations in this report is 15,012 for vaccinated 4,752 for unvaccinated. Total deaths for vaccinated is 3893 and 1015 for unvaccinated.

So right now the vaccinated are having worse outcomes by a factor of 3 if my math is right. It is very sad and disturbing.

Are people downvoting because they think I'm trying to make a point that it will be higher? If so, no. I want to put them side by side and keep arguing that vaccinated/unvaccinated rules and discrimination are completely pointless now. Just looking at one side of stats isn't as strong of a statement there.

I believe covid is real. I do not believe in breakthru infections. I only believe in infections. Infections of the vaccinated and unvaccinated.

How dare you! That makes you dangerous. A threat to our democracy. Worst thing since Pearl Harbor, 9/11, Civil War and the Hindenburg fire, combined.

Don’t you know people might make the wrong conclusions?! We simply cannot risk that.
