Yes, libel laws are all a sure sign of a totalitarian government. We should abolish them all immediately!!!

Trump has a libel suit against Twitter? What’s the basis?

Being a private company does not make you immune from laws and precedents.

If he issues an executive order legally defining platform vs. publisher and orders it’s enforcement, he is not a dictator and has effectively dumpsterd every liberal social media outlet

The libel suit comes after he defines them as a publisher.

If he removes their protections for operating outside the scope of what they are supposed to be doing then he is rolling back government.

Because platforms are silencing him and his followers? Who really is the dictator here?

How is he a dictator? Cite one example. Just one. One teeny tiny example of Donald J. Trump, president of the United States of America being a dictator.

And don't give us this crap about "executive order". Obama's entire presidency was one executive order after another. And it still isn't being a dictator

I could give you an example but you seem to preemptively refuse to head it. Muh Obama did too!! Ok and Obama spied on him, should Trump do the same to Biden? Obama sent a pallet of cash to Iran, should Trump do that too? Abandoning your principles....

Dictator in chief. I’m sorry but this wasn’t why people jumped on the Trump Train. It’s like he wants to lose this election.

I’ll bet he tries to re-define some terms in Section 230 of the CDA

If Trump and the FCC decide so, they could declare it a utility and then Google and Facebook couldn’t do shite without following government regs.

On your behalf of what? Government interference into private companies? That’s not why I voted for him, he’s supposed to be doing the opposite. Some of y’all abandon your principals on a whim just for those sweet lib tears but in the end it’s you who loses. It’s swampy as hell.

Hell no you mental midget. If they are benefiting as a platform then they need to act like one and not a publisher with editorial review. The internet needs to be neutral but they haven’t acted that way for over a decade.

Silencing views you don’t like and promoting views you support falls under “publishing”, not platforming.

Jack will ban him from twitter and he will lose his platform. I’m sure the MSM want that to happen.

Still, what is the libel? His words were not deleted or altered. There is no defamation or slander by a fact check.
