Can’t be a platform and censor like a publisher. They were stupid enough to cross the line and MAGA will win this one.

Relax. I am sure you'll still be able to copy and repost unfunny shite from Reddit every day.

Get ready for the liberals to become capitalists for this issue.

Does Trump own that platform?

So would it be okay if Trump would discriminate against a guest at one of his hotels based upon race, sex, sexual preference or political view?

This has tacitly been the Mexican stand off this whole time.

Jack doesn’t ban Trump, Trump keeps his platform and Jack doesn’t get his shite wrecked.

Jack fired the first shot with the “fact check”.

There is only so much he can do with a lawful Executive Order. Probably will not have far reaching impact.

If Trump and the FCC decide so, they could declare it a utility and then Google and Facebook couldn’t do shite without following government regs.

I am afraid this is the route we are headed. You know Liberals will abuse the absolute frick out of this with made up hate crimes etc. Other countries are already doing it. Getting threats of jail for their twitter posts etc. The same thing with Red Flag laws. People will use these seemingly good meaning things and frick Conservatives - always.

I hope he moves their classification to its proper category of selective publishers rather than open platforms.

They will still be free to publish what they please, but will be responsible for it and not free of liabilities.

?

Every(just about) person in America is on Facebook. If you think this just hits twitter, you are sadly mistaken.

What if it's an executive memo to the FCC addressing the classification of social media platforms? Kinda like 0bama's executive memo for dealing with sexual harassment/assault on college campuses.

I imagine President Trump’s EO will say something to the effect of, “If you don’t want to be considered an editor -and therefore liable for its content- you cannot shadow ban or limit the legal speech on that platform in any way. Users can decide to filter, etc, but you cannot define what is ‘true’ or ‘appropriate’.”

It's posturing if its weak. Letting twitter and others know they won't get away with unabaded. Keep in mind twitter execs, Facebook execs etc have all went before congress and lied about how they treat conservatives on their platform and blamed their algorithms. Editing the presidents twitter post is basically journalism. Thats no longer user curated content.

Yes, he’s definitely fighting for you and has nothing to do with a temper tantrum he’s throwing because Twitter put a fact check on one of his tweets
