If Zelensky goes down do not think this will end the fighting. It could potentially get worse. We at least know no what we have with Zelensky after studying his actions over the past year.

Good thing he doesn't have to duck to get under his desk.

I do like how this post in the warmonger thread downvoted into an oblivion:

quote:

We are seeing a major escalation right now.

These people are fricking retards completely shitfaced on war. “Nu uh, it’s not an escalation. This is fun, and frick Russia.” Just replace “money” with “war” and that’s the thread in a nutshell:

I’ve also been called a fig and a pussy for being against escalating a war:

The assassination of Arch Duke Zelensky wouldn't be good for anyone

Imagine comparing a clown who plays the piano with his dick to the heir of the Habsburg empire. if Zelensky dies nothing will happen, they'll just promote one of his clown buddies to be the next "Churchill".

Dude, at least with Zelensky we know what we’re dealing with. No, not nothing will happen. It would be a big fricking deal and could radically change things on the ground.

If you watch CNN, the camera shot is always of a playground. I’m sure the left thinks it’s all playground and baby formula factories that were attacked…

I haven’t called you a fig or a pussy. I think foreign policy is very difficult which is why I criticize it less than a lot of domestic policy. You don’t have complete control over outcomes and the consequences can be dire.

Having said that, when people say “not escalating” I interpret that as Putin gets whatever he wants. While it may make people feel good in the short term I don’t see that as a viable policy against Russia and China.

When I see Zelensky, I think of the Mandarin from Iron Man where he was on some set and not even in the country he was pretending to be in. Just a useful idiot.

See a multipage thread thinking something actually happened and it turns out to just be SFP dunking on fools

Anyway, it looks like the Ukraine power grid took a big hit today

Also in Lviv (photo) in Kharkiv, power plants out of order have been bombed since the morning.
A humanitarian catastrophe for the coming winter - similar to that in Syria - which Russia is deliberately bringing about here.

Another solid post from the war thread:

quote:

Agreed, these missile attacks on civilian targets are the only option that Putin knows. He has used terror against the Russian people for the last twenty-five years. And it's worked. The reason it isn't working now is that he's dealing with Ukrainians. People with agency, people that will up his ante every time and never back down.

Negotiations...? It's now the law in Ukraine and clear to anyone listening - no negotiations possible unless Putin is out. Really out. Like dead or in a Western prison. We've got a long way to go before we get there, but we'll get there. Any other take on this is uninformed to say the least.

These people are trying to get us all killed. They’ve absolutely lost their minds.

Cheering on an ISIS style attack is a new low.

The regime change geniuses never think about how it may end up worse if you knock out Putin. What if he is the moderate there?

All the stuff that comes out as “Russia did this” seems to always be corrected. Just like all the golden teeth they blamed on Russian torture, but was just from a dentist office. Just like the crimea bridge. Was actually Ukraine

I don’t believe shite about this war. Most probable that Ukraine bombed themselves so they can get more money from everyone else.

Maybe if all of the posters in the OT Ukraine thread ----flying their Ukraine flags like neocon puppets---- Read this entire article-they would see they are being scammed.
quote:

Who is Ukraine’s President Zelensky? Ex-comedian at center of new war

Zelensky won the presidential election in a landslide in 2019 after much of his campaign was allegedly bankrolled by one of Ukraine’s richest — and most corrupt — oligarchs, Igor Kolomoisky. REUTERS

Originally thought to be a puppet of the oligarch speaker brought up in pro-Russian eastern Ukraine into more of a nationalist.

“He’s kept a unified government and not gone along with either what Russia or the US wanted,” Russ Bellant, a longtime Ukraine researcher, told The Post Thursday. “He knows he’s in the middle of a bigger power game between superpowers and he seems to know what he’s doing. He’s handling himself pretty well. He’s his own man. He knows what’s really at stake but he knows what happened to Viktor Yanukovych.”

Zelensky, who grew up in a pro-Russian part of eastern Ukraine, has proved he is a Ukrainian nationalist.
quote:

During his presidential campaign, however, he used a bulletproof Mercedes registered to a business associate of him and his benefactor Kolomoisky. There’s a reason Zelensky watched his back when he was closely associated with Kolomoisky, who co-founded PrivatBank, the largest commercial bank in Ukraine before it was nationalized in 2016.

Kolomoisky was so tough, he crushed Russian separatists with his own paramilitary units, called the 5-foot-7 Putin a “schizophrenic dwarf,” allegedly ordered contract killings and often fed a live shark in a massive aquarium in his office to intimidate guests.

The Obama Biden administration took Kolomoisky (who tortured and chain sawed people standing alive) and fed people to sharks in his very large aquarium. OFF OF THE TERRORIST WATCH LIST.

Kolomoisky controls Zelensky (They are both Russians gone rogue) The billions that the USA send to Zelensky goes to Kolomoisky's bank.

In all of the oligarch mysterious deaths and yachts being taken. Why is Kolomoisky untouched? Is he protected by Biden?

The idiots here are overcome with BDS to the point of cheering for a Russian victory over the west. All while insisting they just care about "the money". They've been consistently wrong about every single major development relating to this conflict. All passion, zero logic.
