Could be someone who is angry and leaked the plan to, if you will, preempt it. Or could be someone who is happy and leaked it to appease the growing Muslim wing of the Democrat Party.

watching him trying to placate and appease voters on both sides of this issue is a microcosm of Left wing politics in 2024. when Hamas first attacked Israel and nearly the entire world was unified as "frick Hamas", he was all in on that and spoke many times to our unwavering support of Israel. now that the outrage has simmered to second page news, and the pro-Hamas crowd has gotten more vocal, he's trying to gradually slip over to that side.
I'd have more respect for him if he would have definitively picked a side early on and stuck with it, even if it was pro Palestine. he's such a slimy piece of shite who is obviously just going whatever direction polling tells him he should.

He’s just saying that because he knows the aid ship he’s sending off the Gaza coast will inevitably be attacked… when it does, he’ll be “compelled” to get further involved.
This is just preemptive cover so that he can say he was ready to get tough on Israel but that Hamas forced his hand

No they're not. They are certainly kicking arse, but they are doing it with goo-gobs of our aid. Do they need it? Probably not. Anyway, they saw this coming (By "they" I mean Biden and the Israelis) and they stocked up on everything they need until after the election. And if they run short of anything they will get it on the down low.
