You know what happened during this period?
1986 tax law change regarding commercial real estate and getting rid of tax "loopholes" as to investment property
1987 crash
S & L meltdown - which crushed what was left of the commercial real estate market (wanna guess what Trump had a lot of money in during that time?)

Correct. I’m an attorney and can legally view all kinds of protected info, including tax returns, bank record, and medical records.
I would be disbarred and in jail if I got pissed off at a former client who trusted me with those records, or even an adversary and published it in the newspaper.
This is absolutely terrifying and has horrible implications for our privacy rights. Your IT example is perfect.

In the very first debate Trump said “I try to pay as little taxes as possible. Because all they do is flush your money down the drain.” He was always up front about it so frick the Dims.
