Just as an FYI, the loon who wrote your article starts off with a fricking lie.

Doesn't bode well.

You thank your lucky stars that grandma corruption isn't POTUS leading us to globalist filth.

Seriously go read up on the CF and how much disgusting dirt those people have on their hands.

Let it go. Trump isn't the crook you want him to be and you should be happy about it.

So you consider hawking your own bonds to be a moral failure?
I consider threatening a lawsuit against firm for an analyst doing his job well while demanding an apology and/or his dismissal. And all that while likely knowing the analyst was correct and that people were going to lose hundreds of millions because of his own poor decisions.

Didn't Hillary ask China to get Trump's tax records like a week ago?

Ok. Well let’s just call the analyst who he interviews a liar, on top of the previous stories a decade before. Might as well just dismiss it all now because it doesn’t really look very good for Trump as a person.

Yet even given teh leeway of pretending your fairy tale is true and clear cut as described... you didn't answer the question at hand.

I don’t know what he should have done, but I know what he did do was despicable. He could have disagreed with the assessment, but he used his power to try to ruin him, while ruining others who he failed when it led to the bankruptcy of pretty much the city itself.

You criticized me for not making a value judgment, and when I present a story that I found to be important in my judgment, you criticize me for making that judgment. And worse you just dismiss Trump’s behaviors.

Is it so terrible for someone to read that story and form a strong negative opinion about Trump?

In fact, year after year, Mr. Trump appears to have lost more money than nearly any other individual American taxpayer, The Times found when it compared his results with detailed information the I.R.S. compiles on an annual sampling of high-income earners. His core business losses in 1990 and 1991 — more than $250 million each year — were more than double those of the nearest taxpayers in the I.R.S. information for those years. Over all, Mr. Trump lost so much money that he was able to avoid paying income taxes for eight of the 10 years. It is not known whether the I.R.S. later required changes after audits.
,,,,and? None of this is impeachable or relevant.

Fair point. I've actually begun to internally consider rejecting much of the public record of history. Given contemporary "journalists" have such an almost allergenic relationship with honesty, why should we believe that wasn't the case previously?

Is it illegal to obtain the tax returns of a citizen and make them public?

Because in this case a lot of it happened in the public sphere.

Thanks for the link. Let’s go through it.

Good start.

It then goes on to describe based upon zero sourcing what it claims happened. I guess they are claiming Roffman as the source? However in the last paragraph Roffman states he signed a non-disclosure as part of a settlement.

The article hasn’t lots of gems and jabs at Trump. I’m not inclined to give the author the benefit of the doubt of having the facts straight. Especially without citing a single source. The only quasi-cite I see is the article claims to quote a letter written by trump....but no letter produced.

I don’t know man. That NYT article you believed was pure crap. This one doesn’t seem to be much better.

Ok I read the article, your description of the events is equal parts ignorance and dishonesty.

I’m not even sure that this was the article I had initially read a few years back about it since it’s not just some obscure thing that was discovered decades later.

Besides the analyst is there to tell his story, so the author can be pretty much ignored. And the analyst even says it ended up being a silver-lining in the end and led him to a much happier career.
