CIA set ups are fine now. You haven't heard?
By any means necessary.

He must have flipped on Trump to get such a light sentence
The prosecutors stated otherwise when they requested a 6 month sentence. This is a huge slap to them.

They said Papadopoulos’s initial lies hindered investigators’ ability to effectively question, challenge or detain Joseph Mifsud, the London professor who had contacted him. Mifsud left the United States and not returned, after the FBI found him in the U.S. on Feb. 11, 2017, about two weeks after Papadopoulos’s first interview.
So there’s this...
The FBI did find Joseph Mifsud and still inexplicably did not detain him.

Kiki Papadopoulos, George’s mother, says she was there when FBI agents showed up and requested interview and advised her son to decline and get a lawyer. The lesson, she said: “if you only listened to your mother none of this would have happened.”
He'll be out of prison in 2 weeks, but you know Kiki's never gonna let him hear the end of this.

Also doesn't make sense that him telling them he wasn't working for the Trump campaign made any difference. He did tell them he spoke to Mifsud and Mifsud said he had info about Hillary. What more did they need?

Yeah he was stupid not to get a lawyer. NEVER think police are talking to you for an "innocent" conversation. They are always investigating you.

It is bad.
The guy was set up by the CIA and now has a criminal record as a result.
He won't be in physical danger (no way they don't isolate him, he is high profile, and he is not going to a place where the violent criminals are anyway)
But this on his record is horrible for him
I do think he gets a pardon, wouldn't that effictively expunge his record? I'm not really sure how that works

Does he get credit for time served?

Look, I'm more biased than the next guy, but even factoring in my partisanship, this is a JOKE
