The U.S. Navy plans to remove from duty the commander of the fleet that has suffered four recent collisions in Asia and the deaths of a number of sailors, the Wall Street Journal reported on Tuesday, citing U.S. officials.

Wow.
Didn't realize it was that many.

Yeah, kinda like I was driving both cars my kids were driving when they had fender benders. Guess who suffered the consequences of those two incidents?

When a ship crashes the captain loses his command.

When multiple ships crash their boss loses his command.

This is pretty normal

They've had four incidents similar to the McCain and the Fitzgerald since he took command. As soon as I heard about this one I knew an admiral would swing.

When you have 4 of these accidents in 12 months in a single command, and no similar patterns elsewhere, it's a problem with the command.

As they should.

Too many crashes with American warships fall squarely on his desk.

Sucks for the admiral...but with the number of recent incidents, a little fear up and down the chain isn't a bad thing.
