As usual, waaaayyyy too little, waaaayyyy too late! 'cause they were too focused on 'the poison.' Yes, he did this!

Of course. It's right out of the playbook.
1: Create Problem
2: Exacerbate Problem
3:Get media et al to crow about the problem
4: Swoop in and save the day with solution that gives yourself more power, permanently
5: Declare victory, and shout it from the rooftops

Except he f---ed with parents of infants. And they, like elephants, have long memories. They WILL remember!

Not quite. It's a real problem and they admitted they knew about it for months. This should have been done months ago.

1. Create a crisis
2. Investigate the crisis
3. Quickly determine there actually isn't anything to be worried about
4. Continue crisis anyway
5. Make a big announcement to fight said crisis so no one looks too closely at how you created it

Problem, he can't solve the problem.
It's sad when led by people that lack any degree of common sense. In his case, too busy having diapers changed.

Are the baby formula plants not running at full capacity now? Is he going to build a government baby food factory?

It will do about the same as invoking it to refill lake Powell.

This is freaking America. Not North Korea, Zimbabwe or any other 3rd world hellhole. This should've never ever been a thing. The fact that it is demonstrates just how fricked up we are at this point in time.

Option A - roll up sleeves, take a serious look at the situation, and try to come to an effective, efficient and pragmatic solution.
Option B - Press the F'it button and call it a day.

Or skip all of the above because he believes every single person will simply forget about it, then go home to Delaware and take a series of naps.

And it's going to be even more too little and too late before this "rescue" comes to fruition.

It is unclear how soon customers will see an impact on store shelves. Susan Mayne, director of FDA's Center for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition, said Monday that it could take weeks to get imported product into the market.
