The Cleo Fields ticket heading is the first and biggest hint that a sane person votes the polar opposite of what is listed

Are native blacks in LA really stupid enough to water down their voting power away by allowing non-citizens/illegals to vote?

It really is baffling that the republican party is so incompetent they wouldn't use this against the Dems. It's tee'd up so perfectly.

Why are we even voting on a non citizen voting in elections. I would like to know when non citizens voting in elections became a thing.

Kalifornia allows non-citizens to vote in "local elections". The problem becomes when state/national elections occur simultaneously with the local ones. Do you trust they are given a unique ballot with the other candidates/elections removed?

Because the legislature is trying to put a prohibition on non-citizen voting in the constitution.

As far as I know, nothing allows it currently in Louisiana. But nothing prevents parishes or cities from allowing it at this moment either. The amendment is trying to get out ahead of NOLA, BR, and Shreveport allowing illegals to vote in local elections.

That is my take on why its on the ballot, at least.

When you pick up voters in a van, pay them cash, and hand them the ticket to go vote, you often win.

It's despicable but it's also a reason why republicans don't win as much as they should.

this is what I remember about Cleo. They redrew district 4 so a black person would win.

Because absolute insanity like this is starting to happen.

The D.C. Council voted to allow noncitizen residents the right to vote in local, but not federal, elections.

The vote by the 13-member council was 12 in favor, and one absent. Council member Vince Gray was not present for Tuesday’s meeting.

The “Local Resident Voting Rights Amendment Act of 2022” will allow green-card holders and residents who entered or live in the country without legal permission the right to cast their ballots in local races starting in 2024. They will not be able to vote in federal elections under the bill.

So states with enough politicians and citizens who actually understand and care about the sanctity of self-rule through the voting process are moving to inscribe these into law as state amendments so "sanctuary cities" and their ilk have no chance to allow subversion of the voting system.

Hate to put it this way, but as long as the handouts keep coming, the answer is yes.

Encourage your constituents to water down their voting power by allowing illegals to vote. Brilliant.
