Who are the potential primary candidates that will run against him?
I wouldn't be shocked, at all, to see John Bel run against him. Garret Graves could throw his name in the mix in a possible F-You to Landry for gerrymandering him out of Congress.
Regardless, people are going to see Cassidy as very beatable. Don't be surprised if Democrats circle his seat as one they can take from an otherwise red state.

Honest question - There is no republican primary for senator for Louisiana, so is the plan to support an opposing republican nominee? Just seems like it will set the stage for a democrat to win the general election outright.

You’d think any current Republican elected official with even so-so name recognition who can raise a couple million could primary him.
But the question is who will take that jump. Won’t be Johnson or Scalise, as they seem to be good on the House totem pole. Graves, Letlow or…hell…freaking Clay Higgins?
Landry is Governor. Maybe Liz Murril? Or does someone like Allan Seabaugh give it a try?
Hopefully Trump will push someone worth a shite in the race - Graves sucks but I'd rather him than Cassidy. God Louisiana's republican party is fricking sad.

I thought that shithead said he wasn’t running again.
He’s no different than the rest of them. Addicted to the power and money. I’m guessing he spends most of his time in DC, so he’s oblivious to home people back home feel about him.

Let me be clear I have never voted "D" in my life. I will donate my money and time against Bill Cassidy. He is my redline on RINO's

That is a no vote for me.

You mean without a runoff? No.
No Democrat is getting 50%+1 in a state wide primary in Louisiana.

He obviously has no concern for the people he represents, so it wouldn't be shocking to see him run again.
A small part of me wants him to run again, so I can vote against him. But the smarter part of me knows this is just a recipe to electing a dim senator in 2026. LA GOP needs to be all over this... find somebody... anybody to run against this traitor.

Dum bel will beat Cassidy. There is only one man that can save Cassidy, Donald J. Trump.
Would Cassidy ask for Trump's support and would Trump give it?
Hopefully Trump tells him to frick off.
Graves is no better than Cassidy.
Trump would probably support Nungessor if he ran.

I would rather face a real Democrat in the senate than a Republican that will lie to my face during the campaign and vote Democrat in the senate.

Seriously, there's no senator primaries in LA?

I’d kind of rather not have the President (hopefully he’s the President) meddling in the race dictating who the “real MAGA candidate” is. Right-leaning voters in Louisiana should already know it’s not Cassidy.

I'm thinking Garret Graves is going to get in this race. He is pissed at the state party already and won't have a problem bucking them to throw his hat in the ring. I'm not necessarily a huge Graves fan but I would vote for any GOP candidate over Cassidy.

No I believe it is a jungle primary only for senator.

Cassidy voted to send $61 billion to Ukraine. So did John Kennedy, who was on Fox last night complaining about the Biden Administration sending $100 million to Lebanon instead of North Carolina. That is the pinnacle of hypocrisy.
Primary them both. I will abstain if either of them ever show up on the ballot again.

No, everyone runs on the same ballot. If someone gets a majority, they win. Otherwise, the top 2 go to a runoff.

he is not supposed to be running again
