The vast majority of our national debt has been rung up over the last 25 years when Gen-X/Millennials voting bloc was larger (and increasingly so) than the Boomer bloc.
National debt in 2000 - $5.6 trillion (about 50% of GDP)
National debt today - $35 trillion (about 125% of GDP)
Today there are twice as many Gen X + millennials than boomers. The current shitshow is on you far more than boomers.
