He said prior to taking the position that he had a list of things that he could/would fix within the agency. He also said that he wanted to be done with it before 2026. It was a short term deal. Reading more into it than what it is.

If you actually watched Dan you know he was hesitant about taking it and the reason why he did was because of the pipe bomber. Could be his health. Could be he doesn’t like it.
